Hi all,
I had my early scan other day (still on:cloud9: hoping it stays that way!!)
but it means I've used up my ''free'' scan for 12 weeks... I called some private hospitals and the earliest I can be seen for my ''12 week'' scan is at exactly 14 weeks!
Is that too late for things like nuchal fold? I'll be bang on exactly 14 weeks on that day so is it JUST in time to test for that?
What do you think?!

I'm having mine done between 12-14 weeks. The paperwork i read said 11-14 weeks is the norm for this test so you should be fine.

Thanks, just panicking in case I am one day over! Grrrr
You get rid of one worry and another one comes along....!X

I know i think we'll be worrying for the rest of our lives. I said to DH that i will stop worrying once i've had the scan and i know that everything is alright and then he said "no you won't, you'll be worrying that eveything continues to be alright" which is true and then my sister said that once her son was born she worried about cot death. So i think it just goes with the territory of being a Mum.

I'm sure it'll be fine i was told between 11 and 14 weeks, glad LO is ok and all is going well xxx

"The NT scan must be done when you're between 11 and 14 weeks pregnant. (The last day you can have it done is the day you turn 13 weeks and 6 days pregnant.) It's usually offered along with a blood test in what's known as first-trimester combined screening."

I went when I thought I was 13+2 as I'd been on holiday for 2 weeks and when they scanned me I was actually 13+6 which is the last day you can have it. If your dates move it might be an issue.

If you want the proper NT scan you'll probably have to pay. The 12 week scan looks at the nuchal fold but doesnt usually do the analysis and blood work.
