Is being scared of birth a good enough reason for CS?

I breastfeed fine and bonded well with my first, it does happen to some woman but not all. I was handed him within 10 mins and someone latched him on my boob. I think i was lucky as I was clueless about breastfeeding and so where the staff.

I was able to breastfed fine after my section, milk flow was great. Only reason I stopped was I had twin, one couldn't latch as he had tongue tie (which was repeatedly missed), he could only take form bottle and I found it too difficult, expressing and breastfeeding twins and looking after a toddler with additional needs. But breastfeeding was not an issue at all.

My natural I struggled to get sufficient milk flow, plus I had a sick baby and I couldn't get enough to satisfy him.

I had NO post natal after my c section but I had baby blues for a few days after my natural.

I had no issue at all bonding after either of my births, my natural was probably the most difficult, but think just the shock and being a mum for the first time, whereas the twins was just normal and just got in with it. I felt a rush of love for all three.

The only difference like that would be the fact I didn't get a buzz after my section.

Both I had pain for weeks, my c section was a lot more painful but more manageable.

But you know what, it's luck of the draw, amongst numerous other factors. You could have a fantastic labour next time, no problems or complications, quick recovery and laying on the beach the next day (I have seen a friend who has a picture of her at the beach in her bikini with baby less than 24 hours after giving birth!!!!) or you could have a horrendous c section with a long recovery, risks associated include things like needing hysterectomy!

But there is no way of telling how things will go. In my experience my section was fine, I had perfect recovery and no complications. I have no fear of either type of birth, VBAC is obviously preferable but given some of my risk factors it may be safer going b
Repeat c. I'll find out in a few weeks.

Good luck Hun. Xxx

Been looking up NICE guidelines for other reasons and it says this;

Maternal request for CS

When a woman requests a CS because she has anxiety about childbirth, offer referral to a healthcare professional with expertise in providing perinatal mental health support to help her address her anxiety in a supportive manner. [new 2011]
For women requesting a CS, if after discussion and offer of support (including perinatal mental health support for women with anxiety about childbirth), a vaginal birth is still not an acceptable option, offer a planned CS. [new 2011]
An obstetrician unwilling to perform a CS should refer the woman to an obstetrician who will carry out the CS. [new 2011]

So yes you can request one, and if they say no for any reason, you can just ask it be referred to someone who will.
