Is Instant Carobel any good?

Does anyone use Cow & Gate instant Carobel to thicken their babies formula?

I've read about it for reflux, but wondered if it was like gaviscon - works for a few days then things go back how they were!?

How many feeds does one box do? and can you get if from pharmacy or is it prescription only?
