To have a sensation of tightness on your incision after 3 weeks? I've had a bit of a setback because I had an infection in part of my wound and ended up back in hospital for 3 days on IV antibiotics. Over the last couple of days it feels as though the scar tissue along the wound is very tight especially when I stand up. I don't notice it when I am sitting. I am worried in case they have stitched me up too tightly. Can anyone else relate? Cheers

Consider talking with your doctor. Only he/she can really assure you whether what you're feeling is normal or not. I had one cesarean and I think I had some similar discomfort, but double check with your doctor to be sure.

My c section was a year ago next week, I still get tightness, numbness and sharp pains around my scar. It is all normal. The tightness will be the skin healing. I've never heard of them stitching someone up too tight. When you're sitting, the skin isn't as stretched out as when you're standing/moving.

Definately normal. I got it for months after, and apparently thats not unusual.
