:happydance:Yay! So after exactly 12 months of TTC, I finally got a BFP! Funny how it happened, I called my GP this passed Monday (after testing too early - last Friday) and made an appointment to get a referral to a fertility clinic.

Then, luckily, my period seemed to be late...I'm never late. I tested yesterday morning (FMU) and saw a YES+ on my digital HPT. Turns out, based on the usual calculation method, I'm about 4 weeks along with my last cycle start date as Aug 23.

Anyway, with all that great news, I'm a little nervous. I don't really have any symptoms: no sore breats, not much for nausea or fatigue. I'm sure that's all to be followed with a big "YET". All I really have is some indigestion/acid reflux, minor random cramping and thirst. This whole week I was waking in the night often to pee, but surprisingly, last night, I didn't have to get up until about 5:30am. My only other issue is that I can't get comfortable at night. I usually sleep on my right side and stomach, but that now hurts and my body feels very comfortable in that position. I switch sides but then I can't sleep!!

Can anyone tell me if this is all normal? Is it ok to not have many typical symptoms? Are there any causes for concern? Anyone have any advice on the sleeping issue?? :?:

Btw, this is my first pregnancy...so I'm a little scared, nervous, excited and lost!! I'm going to see my family doctor now for my first round of blood work to check my levels.

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! =] Some people don't get any symptoms at all, so it's really nothing to be toooo worried about! With my first two, I never had any symptoms and never knew I was pregnant for 12+ weeks! (I was on BC) - You might start getting symptoms any time, but you might not (you night be a lucky one with no morning sickness!) Fingers crossed for a Happy and Healthy 9 months!!!

It is totally normal not to have symptoms yet. They are caused by hormones, which are still low for you right now but will rise massively in the weeks to come. You may regret ever worrying about not having symptoms! For most people they don't kick in properly till after six weeks.
The sleep position could be due to your full bladder or just from feeling a bit bloated.

congratulations on your pregnancy :)

PS - Don't get worried about cramps unless they are so bad you can't stand up and it is accompanied by bleeding. I STILL get cramps =]

Im in the same boat! This is # 1 for me, and we conceieve 13 months after we started ttc.

I have no morning sickness, or anything...just some cramps, tired and thirsty...along with not sleeping well.
No worries! It might kick in later, or hopefully never! Cheers and congrats!

big congrats to u :happydance: i didnt find out i was preg till five and a half weeks i had no symptons whats so ever until i hit six weeks, one thing i have learned is that every one is different and every thing is normal :) wishing u a healthy nine months :hugs:

Hey there! Congrats! It's an exciting time for sure :) I don't have much advice as I'm pregnant with my first too, but I do know that I haven't had the typical pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness, sore boobs, food aversions etc. I'm just been extremely tired, hungry, have trouble sleeping and have to pee all night like you. I haven't heard the heartbeat yet but I'm being positive because lots of women say they don't have symptoms and everything's alright :) I think it just depends on how your body deals with hormonal changes and balancing things out. Oh, one other thing I have had is dizzyiness, that's been the most annoying.

Thank you everyone!! Your responses have definitely put my mind at ease. It's great to know that everything is normal!

Wishing all of you (well, all of us) happy and healthy pregnancies with even happier and healthier babies!! :)

I just wanted to chime in and say that I didn't get any MAJOR symptoms until 5 1/2 weeks (morning sickness/sore everything). The only reason I thought I was pregnant was that around 4/4 1/2 weeks I had to get up to in middle of the night to go to the bathroom, which never happened before, so that's a good sign for you! Also, I saw my Dr. the second my test to + (which was at 20dpo based on +OPK - so I was starting to go mad by then!) and it turned out I OV late and was about 1 1/2 weeks behind what I expected from my LMP. He said it was perfectly normal to OV late and everything has been perfect sense, so I know it's hard (this is my first too!), but try not to worry too much.

Happy and healthy 9 months to ya!
