My first "baby bump" is still bloat really as baby is only now coming out of pelvis and I will be going on job interviews that I NEED to ace. Would wearing a compression undergarment to control bloat hurt the baby? I don't think it's false advertising to potential employers as I'm hiding bloat not an actual 20 week bump and they don't need to know yet anyway. The undergarment wouldn't be too tight, just enough to even out things. My poor suit jackets don't button anymore and they're expensive to buy up a size!

Its not dangerous so long as you can breathe well although you might be slightly uncomfortable. Depending on the type of job you are applying for you may want to let them know you are pregnant however so that if u get hired they can plan for your eventual leave of absence.

No it wouldn't hurt your baby, at this point it's still teeny tiny in your belly and the bloat is likely mostly gas etc.

Not sure on spanx but good luck for the interview I know how nerve wracking it is applying for jobs when pregnant :)

just fyi, for when you do get bigger and need to "shape" your bump, spanx actually makes a maternity undergarment. I am wearing one in a week under an evening gown. Thank goodness for this!

I only plan on letting them know during the last phase where I would get offered the job (hopefully). Then they can't rule me out since they already offered and I'll feel better not having to hide. I plan on a shorter maternity leave anyway since we need the money :(

Haha thanks everyone, I didn't want to accidentally "squish" my baby too tight. Oh the little things we worry about when pregnant!
