to take energy tablets? I'm getting so tired lately and so I bought some for work. I checked the packet and it doesn't say anything about avoiding when pregnant but I don't know whether they'll be ok. Description says:

'Dextro energy- Dextrose enters the bloodstream directly and immediately replenishes your energy for better concentration and performance'

Any ideas?

i would say no....

but i dont know any other energy tablets but pro plus and they say to avoid....
there basically caffiene!!

But hey if anyone disagrees..... chuck me a packet over here!!! :)

Yeah I thought that. I couldn't find where it says how much caffeine is in it. Other tablets are lucozade ones and you aren't really supposed to drink lucozade...

You arent meant to take pro plus or red bull so I would be tempted to say no... you could always ask a pharmasist though?

When I was in my 1st tri, I was really poorly with flu. For a few days, all I could stomach was Lucozade - and I drank about 2litres per day!! My OH just kept going to the shop and back to get me more! I never knew you aren't suppossed to drink it!!!!

Not sure, but if you are tired then your body is telling you to take it easy - you should listen to it and get more kip! Giving yourself so much artificial energy cant be good for your baby!

get checked for anemia i was really tired a few weeks ago and it turnt out i was anemic and once i was perscribed iron tablets by doc i felt loads better xxx

I didnt either....

I had lucozade after I got my tummy bug it was the only thing I fancied after not eating or drinking for a day!!!

i agree with emma12uk - listen to xour body..if you're tired then rest - dont force it to keep on going. especially not with "fake" energy. i think our bodies know when we need to rest. just my opinion.

I eat dextro energy tabs like sweeties
My midwife actually recommended them for labour to keep you perked up.
I just love the taste of them and can easily go through 1-2 tubes a day!
