is it possible to have monthly menstrual periods/bleeding in the first trimester??

So i havnt been trying but not preventing either... but im curious to know if i could be pregnant!? i have had monthly periods lately.. but for almost 24 hours now.. i feel like i have a fever (im a little warm & sometimes i feel cold inside)/ heavy feeling on my body/ diarrhea/ & not well at all!! im gonna take a hpt 2moro to find out koz i have either got a virus or im possibly pregnant.... anyone know if this sounds like a virus or early pregnancy? i might see a doctor 2moro AM if it doesn't go away!! TIA
