Personally i have always lost my plug just hours beforehand which has been great as i knew what was coming then! But many people do not loose their plug.

My waters have never broken and they have always had to break mine for me!

Thankfully yes i hear it can happen and im desperatly hoping since im not getting any signs and im nearly 10days past due

ive had a show nearly a week ago and still no labour. now ive lost my plug im just expecting to go straight into labour without any warning, any pains i get a think is this it but no luck yet lol.
my sister didnt have a show with her labour nor did her waters brake.

With my first pregnancy I was getting back pain and felt like I needed a poo all night (sorry tmi). I was up and down to the toilet every 5 mins but couldn't go. I didn't get any sleep that night. My mum took me to the hospital in the morning and I found out I was 3cm dilated! I never lost a plug and in the end I had to have my waters broken to get me into established labour as it was going so slow.

I think all labour pains differ from person to person. I have no idea what to expect this time. All I can remember from last time is the back pain.. it didn't feel like contractions, although it came and went.... amazing how your baby fogs your memory after birth!
