Is it sad I'm hoping alil for twins?

No twins in MY family but both of DH's daughters were supposed to be twins...so who knows? lol :)

Trying soy this cycle...and probably clomid next cycle since I get to see the FS tomorrow and he told me we'd talk about it....but i'm already CD3 by then, and already started soy...so we'll see. lol

On the one hand I love the idea of twins and the fact i'd be done and not have to face infertility again to have more than one child.

OTOH theirs the increased pregnancy and labour risk to Mum and Child. The extra stress of two new borns and if I think long and hard about it, it's just not the same to share your time between two of the same age. I would try very hard to have 1-2-1 time with twins if it happened. Then there's the idea of two same age teenagers!!!

My father is a fraternal twin (they type that can be geneticly passed down to a daughter) and I spent my 20's worrying about having twins.....in some ways we *might* have TTC'd sooner if DH and I weren't worried.

Now we both agree what will be will be and will be thrilled with any child, one or two.

My mom conceived twins naturally, as did two of my sisters (yes, I somehow come from a super fertile family, so my infertility is always met with the most ignorant of remarks), so I'm nervous about clomid a little bit. Nells concerns mirror my own!! But my real fear extends more to more than twins. Twins would be scary, although it would be AMAZING, but anymore than that and I would spend the whole time terrified. SO many things can go wrong, and being a worrier by nature, I think it would drive me crazy.

What does soy do? Ive never heard of it for fertility till this site.

Soy isoflavones are "nature's clomid" and can help induce ovulation. :) There are LOTS of threads on here all about it, or you can google and get a TON of info. :)

My DH and I were talking today how we would love twins! We could call it a day!

People are always telling me about the risks of twins and someone told me "I know you want a baby, but what if you got stuck with twins?" I felt like coming back with wow, after years ttc that would be a nightmare wouldn't it haha.

On the other hand I honestly wouldn't mind twins, but I haven't come to the conclusion that that's what I want. Kid's grow up so quickly and I want to be able to enjoy each baby and stage on their own, rather than everything seeming to fly by even faster, if that makes sense.

But then again, with the huge costs of fertility treatments if I got a "two for one" out of it, I would be estatic too!

I have twins and I would say that although it is challenging sometimes, the fun times and the rewards are amazing. My twins are almost 16 now and nearly adults but i'd still be soo happy to have twins all over again.

I don't think its sad at all, i would love twins! After 4 1/2 years of trying i feel i am owed more than one baby anyway :haha:

We would LOVE to have Twins :) My mother is a twin, my Grandmother and grandfather on both sides are twins!! It's my turn.

We are doing IVF and the doctor has agreed to transfer 3 eggs at a time in hopes of getting twins.

Not sad at all , I personally would love to have twin boys then my dream of two girls and two boys would be complete . Twins run in my family also both fraternal and identical hehe . I start clomid next cycle if I don't fall pregnant this cycle so kinda of excited at the chance for twins
