Is it safe to eat?

I am really craving fish and chips tonight and would love a sav in batter.. for those of you who dont know what it is its a hotdog in batter kind of! is this safe to eat? i know hot dogs are a no no so im assuming this would be to?

Completely fine. And delicious. Just make sure you eat some mushy peas too. Yum. Oh wait I responded too soon. I thought you were talking about the fish. Not sure about the sav in batter.

Im not quite sure how similar it is to a hot dog, but hot dogs are ok as long as you arent eating them cold and sucking down the juices or something (ew!) You have to make sure they are well cooked to kill any listeria. Sav is totally unfamiliar to me though, it could be different

In the UK you can eat hot dogs, so I suppose it depends on where you are! I had a battered sausage from the chippy the other day and I'm fine and it was yummy!! hehe

If you're concerned, ask them to cook you one there and then, and to leave it on a little bit longer, our chippy does it for my mum when she's on chemo!

i would have said its fine!! i also didnt know about hotdogs not being ok to eat! i have had a few whenever i have fancied one!!!

see I heard this before, on here, I asked my midwife and she said there's no reason for me to avoid them?! None of my books say it and my midwife said it's fine, so I'm not sure?! :S xx

Ah, we went for the three-course lunch they do. Felt baby move for the first time after I'd eaten! Don't think he/she liked the fact my stomach was so full and taking over its home!
