well joshua always coos and talks(baby talk) when im changing his nappy or getting him dressed and he has coo'd since a few days old but the last week or so he has been what i would call smiling.

is he too young to smile?
he only does it when im changing him or getting him dressed or getting him ready for a bath.

hubby says its just wind but i dont think it is,its not like a windy smile and he doesnt have the rolly eye thing like he does when he has wind.

if it is smiling can i class it as smiling as he only does it when es being changed.

Amelia did her first smile at 2 & 1/2 weeks old, so he certaintly isn't too young. I think you can definitely tell when they are properly smiling.

Its soo cute isnt it... :D

yeah im sure it smiling but he only does it when im changing him, so can i still say its proper smiling?

Is he looking at you are anything in particular?
If he is fixed on something and smiles then i would say it is proper smiles...

Kalea smiles when I put her nose to mine. I think it might be more of a shock in a smiley shape. But meh, it's good enough for me!

Chloe wont stop now, all I can say is when its a proper smile there is absolutely no doubt, the whole face lights up!

I would say its smiling. Sam has started to smile properly now and will often do it if we are laughing and smiling at him. I know its a def smile cos he´s got a cute little dimple in his cheek, that just looks so lovely!
