I bf for 2 weeks and then switched to formula (many reasons, mostly because I felt responsible for how much weight he lost when he was only bf and we had to be re-admitted and he put on a ton when I started combination and I was miserable anyway...)

My problem is he is sick ALL THE TIME, after every feed and in between. It's not projectile and it doesn't distress him at all - in fact the little tinker finds it quite amusing! I was hoping he'd grow out of it but the older he gets (16 weeks now) the more depressed I'm getting. I know I shouldn't whinge because there are far worse things that could be wrong with him but my washer and dryer are on all day everyday, I am constantly scrubbing him, me, the changing mat, the carpet and changing my bedding, the sofa cushions and both of our clothes.

I just don't feel like going anywhere or visiting anyone because I know he will be sick and I know I will require multiple changes of outfits, not just him. I feed him sat upright with a towel wrapped around his whole body but the little tinker just demnstrated he can lean forward and totally clear the towel, hitting the floor

I have spoken to FIVE different professionals about it and they've all said exactly the same thing: "unless he's losing weight (which he isn't) it's not a concern" like I said, I appreciate it's a petty thing to complain about in the grand scheme of things because he's not hurting or upset but I'm just fed up.

Anyway my question is...I started with Aptamil just because that's what they gave him in the hospital and I knew he liked it but do you think there'd be any benefit whatsoever in trying a different brand of food, especially at this late stage? I looked into comfort milk but when you read it, it's for babies in pain with tummyaches and constipation who cry and pull up their knees etc and he's none of those, like I saya the sick seems to make him laugh - gross :dohh:

I dont think it would hurt to try another formula. Maybe try Hipp Organic as Ive heard that its a gentle formula compared to some others. xxx

do you know if that comes in individual cartons like the others? I'd like to let him try it befre splashing out on a big tub x

Yeah they do 200ml ready made cartons of Hipp. xxx

I second that - we switched to Hipp at about 14 weeks and made the world of difference. A box of powder will only last a week anyway so that's a gd amount of time to see what happens.

Word of advice though - keep your empty Aptimil box as Hipp comes in cardboard boxes and doesn't have one of those levelling things so we used to empty it into the C&G box. Now I have a Lock&Lock box and a knife

Iv found comfort milk helps as its thicker, Iv also seen an all over bib, which is just like a back-less t-shirt with arms in and its plastic, It would cover LO. Im going to get a few as my LO is exactlly the same as yours with the sick
