is my miscarriage over???

I am currently experiencing my second confirmed miscarriage. I have been TTC for a couple of months and found out that I was pregnant when I found spotting when I was doing an ovulation test. The ovulation test was almost positive but so was the pregnancy test!! I rang the EPAU as I had a miscarriage 2 years ago (and also think that I have had another 2 in between that I did not go and get confirmed). I had internal and external scans which showed nothing apart from a cyst on my ovary which was not there 2 years ago. My HCG was 445. I continued to spot and have pain that day but then nothing else. I had however had what I thought was a period earlier on in the month followed by spotting a week after that. My second HCG was 172 so confirmed a failed pregnancy. I am really confused as I have not bled since the spotting on the day I tested positive. Can HCG level still drop without further bleeding? If my HCG is normal for no pregnancy do I just assume that the next bleeding I have is a period? I am anxious to have a normal period so I can start trying again but also worried that after possibly 4 miscarriages that I may not be able to get past 6 weeks! Can anyone offer any advice please?
