is my name to "American" for my English baby

I don't think if it as an American name at all, I'm in uk, I've only known one Austin and he's in his mid thirties. Oh and of course the rugby player Austin Healy as pp mentioned. It's a nice name :)

Thanks everyone i feel so much more relaxed using it now :)

I've heard of a couple of Austins now, but I don't see it as particularly "american." You should name your child what you want!

Also may I point out, it's of French & Latin origin, people only think it's American because of Texas.
I researched it a lot lol.

I am using a more "English" name "Freya" for my :pink: and it's very, very uncommon here in the U.S. and I don't care!!! Go with Austin if you love it!!!

I do think it sounds American but I think that's an advantage because it means he won't have the same name as half his class!

Well ladies ... Today I found out im officially team :blue: so looks like Im growing a little Austin <3

Congratulations Lemon!!!! Glad you decided on the name!! :)

I have an older brother called Austin, no one has ever commented on it being American.
