So to keep this short I've had 3 mc's and 1 chemical (2 mc's this year alone). My husband and I have gone through all the testing and found out that I naturally have low progesterone outside of pregnancy as well as insulin resistance; both of which my RE believes were the causes for my mc's.
I'm on Metformin for the insulin resistance as well as baby asprin because he said, why not...can't hurt. (which is an approach that I like).
However, in addition to progesterone from ovulation forward, he's wanting me to go on FSH injections and do a full cycle of blood work and ultrasounds with planned intercourse, etc. I've never had a problem getting pregnant...this year when I became pregnant in January that was our first month trying as well...2 months after the mc I became pregnant again without our trying (we actually only had sex ONCE during my fertile week!) so our problem has never been getting pregnant, it's keeping the pregnancy.
I would prefer to just do the metformin, baby asprin, and progesterone supplementation for a few months first and then if we can't get pregnant THEN move on to the injections.
Have any of you had a similar experience? Are FSH injections necessary when doing progesterone at ovulation?
