Just wondered if anyone has any experince with the Tomme Tippee Monitor? I have the one with the sensor pad, not currently using the sensor pad just using it as a normal monitor, it's been working fine, its always had an odd beeping noise but the other night all of a sudden it started crackling, it actually woke me up! And now thats all it does and i can't hear Chase through it at all. We've got nothing plugged in the bedroom so don't understand it. I'm selling a new one i was bought and don't know whether to open that and see if that works but hubby say's it won't as the noise is interference, i just don't understand why it's just decided to do it if thats the case. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if its broke or if it just is interference as don't want to open the one i'm going to sell to find out that doens't work either. Thanks x

we have that brand but ours are fine - we get a bit of interference but that is because we have two in the room. I would take it back personally as if you cant here him at all it must be faulty x

Hi - we have the same monitors and like you we are not using the sensor pad at the moment either. A question that I wanted to ask if you don't mind is when it was working did you find that it only picked up the louder noises or would it register when your LO was moving about quietly/making gentle sounds as well? Might be taking mine back too!! Thanks

Ours did this....I know what it is!!! It does sound like interference, but if you've deffo ruled that out (as we did) its probably the "crystals!"
In the pack u get something they call "crystals" either green or red plastic looking plug thingys- theres one in the parent bit and one in the baby bit. Ours made that noise from the 2nd week we had it, they said to replace the crystals (theres a spare pack in the box) and that seemed to fix it! I wonder if im using it too much tho (i do forget to turn it off a lot!!) as i seem to have worn this second lot of crystals out too. Its not constant, but it does it every now n then: blummin scary when it does it in the middle of the night! I wonder if u can order yet more replacement crystals?

ooh thanks for the replies.

Actually the last few weeks i've been leaving mine on too, oops! Yeah i have seen the replacement crystals, will replace them and fingers crossed that will work. I agree it is scary, espcially when your fast asleep and it just decides to do it.

Pookie 73 if i had it turned up to number 6 or 7 i could hear him moving around and making little noises, he sometimes does a little cough and i could hear that, had to have the soundseek on though.

I've replaced our crystals and i can hear him again so thank you, its still a bit noisy but nothing like it was and just so happy i can hear him again, i'll have to remember to turn it off. Bit concerned incase they go again so i've emailed Tommee Tippee to see if you can get replacement ones, will let you know what they say hun.

I get slight interferance and i swear i can hear my neighbours 4 doors downs baby crying through it! Creepy.

i have this monitor, and i too had the interferance but using it with batteries instead of the plugs got rid of the crackly noise.
