My daughter is a month & a half now. From the day she was born up until a few days ago, she would sleep ALL night with waking up only once & it would be at the time of the sunrise (mind you; she would go to sleep at a decent time, lets say around 10PM or so)

Anywho...she had been sleeping in a Rock n' Play bassinet/sleeper thing cause im one of those paranoid parents who didn't want her infant to leave her side but a few days ago i decided id start putting her in her crib in her own room so she doesn't get too used to sleeping next to me in her bassinet. Well...it didn't work out too well. She woke & once she was awake, no matter how long you rock & comfort her, she didn't want to go back to sleep no matter what! She would have a proper feeding of her formula bottle too.

My fiance' (her dad) & I have gotten very little sleep ever since i decided to put her in her own bed. I refuse to put her back in the bassinet just because maybe this new sleeping arrangement will take a few days for her to get used to no matter how little sleep we get? We even took her to the emergency room early this morning because im starting to think she may have developed acid reflux..I won't know until tomorrow morning though until she goes to her regular pediatrician.

but where im trying to get at is..could a new sleeping arrangement be the issue with her not wanting to sleep anymore? please help! im desperate  :sad2::sad2::sad2:

She's honestly probably just too young for the crib at this point. Here's a good article:

https://www.troublesometots.com/are-you-making-these-baby-sleep-mistakes/

About 0% of newborn babies will sleep happily in a crib. I know you just spent $1000 on that delightful Pottery Barn crib and can’t wait to see your little peanut sleeping in it. But you and your peanut will be much happier and will get a lot more sleep if you accept that most babies aren’t sleeping in the crib until sometime between 2-6 months of age (and sometimes later). For a newborn, the crib is huge and flat which is pretty much the opposite of what they are used to. Where do they sleep? In co-sleepers, with Mom, in car seats, or my personal recommendation, in a swing.

Most babies have a bit of reflux, so being snug and on an incline is really comfy for them. I wouldn't mess with it if she's sleeping so well.

I transitioned my baby from her Rock n Play to the crib around 4 months with no issue.

wow, i would have never thought of some of the stuff that's on the link. thank you for that info! i will let her go back to sleeping in her rock n play sleeper as to that just may have been the issue with her these past few days. pray for me! lol
