Is Something Seriously Wrong???

I posted a little on this before but now I have more worries. I was due to start my period on the 22nd. This is my first cycle off bc pills. I've been constantly cramping and i've noticed it's more on my left side but still no af. I'm so scared it's a possibly ectopic pregnancy but I got a negative test today. The only thing I can think of is maybe i'm ovulating WAY late. Is this possible? I'm planning on calling the doc first thing in the morning. I'm just so worried its something serious. Has anyone had this happen?
