Hiya ladies
Just a quick question.
Jake is 6 months old, is on three "meals" a day, baby cereal for breakfast, half a cow and gate jar for lunch and half of a different flavour for dinner plus half a rusk or half a small banana for a snack.
He is also on 6oz of sma white every 3-4 hours.
Just wondering, is there any need to switch to follow on 6 month+ milk?
And if so does it matter if he goes on cow and gate instead of sma (he has been on sma since birth and had terrible trouble with colic but doesn't really get it anymore.)

Thanks.

Best wishes
Jodie and Jake

Yeah, no need to change. I have a little book i was given by my HV when i was going to wean Amelie and it specifically said in the back that follow on formula wasnt needed. Its more expensive apparently too.

We are approaching this stage and im not going to bother to change. We use SMA the yellow one and it says suitable until 12 months so don't see the need to alter things. I think the follow on milk was more designed for BFing mums who want to/have to stop around 6 months and go to formula. Thats my thinking anyway.

i was going to ask the same thing!!! Freddie is combine fed and i wondered wether i need to change to Follow On? will stick with Aptimil First then xx
