Is there any way of knowing how far along I was?

I had a mc today, it is also the day I found out I was pregnant. I haven't had a period for 2 and a half yrs so no idea how far along I was. Definately less than 12 though.

Is there any way of finding out?.... I passes a clot the aize of my palm which i guessed to be the placenta due to there being an unbilical type string attached which was about 4cm long. Would this be able to tell me how far along I was?

This is a page with pictures of lost babies thay people have sent in, so you could compare to these to guess a approx age. Don't click it if you don't want to see lost babies though from 4 weeks right up to full term x
