is there still a chance i could be pregnant

hi my last period was 10th dec 08 my cycle is normally 28-33 days long i took a test on 7th jan and every 2-3 days after, all negative i took another one on friday 16th at the doctor it was a faint positive he said he wasnt convinced so to drop off a sample monday and he would send it for a test at the lab (urine not blood) anyway i had some very light pink spotting friday afternoon and saturday on and off i did another test sunday and got a faint line clearer than at the docs though so that raised my hopes anyway just got results from lab and negative i dont understand it ive been feeling sick sensitive nipple frequent trips to loo etc but can a lab test be wrong and is it possible i conceived recently whilst waiting for my period making my hcg levels low i dont know maybe its just wishful thinking weve been trying for nearly 7 yrs i have pcos but have lost loads of weight gone from 208lbs to 108lbs and my cycles have been regular for about 8 mths

I would ask your doctor to do a blood test.

well done for you weight loss.. i also have been tryingfor 5 yrs and lost 5 stone recently .i have another 3 to go ..eek
Anyhow after reading your story. Here i think what might have happened.

You maybe recently pregnant, as you said, and your levels are low.
or you are still pregnant from the last cycle.However I would be very demanding and have a BLOOD TESt FOR YOUR beta levels, as this will put yur mind at rest either way.

Why don't you buy yourself a Clearblue digital one? There's no guessing then. I kept getting really faint lines and then did a CB digi at 12dpo and was "pregnant". Good luck x

Your situation is almost identical to mine, so I am with you on this one hun.
It is highly possible that you have ovulated late and therefore you would have been testing early without realising it.
Why do I keep hearing that docs are sending urine samples away for testing? Madness. They have test kits in their surgeries. The only test he should be sending a sample off for is a quantative blood test. So, if you have no AF within the next week I would suggest that you go to the docs and ask for a quantative (this will tell them your exact hcg level) blood test, and make sure you stipulate you don't want a qualitative one (the just gives a yes/no answer based on your hcg level).

Right let me get my head round this.

Friday - Doctors test was a faint positive
Sunday - HPT was it a faint positive or BFN?
Monday - sample to doctors - result negative

So if you got a faint positive on friday then a HPT would show by now, try doing another HPT, if you still have a faint line I would definately request BETA's.

Hope this all makes sense, as I'm now confused
