Do you think the name Brandon is a "dated" name? I know it's still in the Top 100, but in the 80s & 90s it was VERY popular. Just wondering if it's "dated" to those decades - or still a nice name to use?

I also like Landon, which is more modern.... but there is something about the name Brandon that I LOVE!! (maybe it has something to do with my childhood crush on Brandon Walsh from 90210!) :haha:

Personally I don't see it as dated, it was obvs at its height of popularity in 80's and 90's, but I think there are some names that never really date and age well, and I see Brandon as one of them. I do like Landon though, and certainly has a bit more of a modern feel to it. X

I dont think its dated either. I think girls names are more prone to dating than boys names.

I don't see it as dated at all, I quite like it. I only know one Brandon who is 20-ish and it suits him well!

I personally love "dated" or better yet classic and timeless names. I'm not into trendy names and what's "cool" now.

Either way, I don't think Brandon is dated, I think it's a nice boys name!

I think Brandon is a great name, it would have been on our list if DH didn't have a friend with that name.

It's lovely. All of the ones I know are my age (I'm in my 20's) but even so, I don't feel it's dated.

Brandon isn't dated at all. c: Girls names tend to sound dated much more often than boys names.

I feel like something like Landon is going to sound dated in 20 years or so.

I like it. I'm a fan of Brandon Flowers though. He's the only one I know!
