A chav is a certain type of person, usually in a white tracksuit with lots of fake gold jewellery and his trouser legs tucked in his tennis socks. Oh and a baseball cap. I guess it's used like you would use ''white trash'' over the pond.

dont forget the baseball cap doesnt actually sit on the head properly it kind of tilts up the way adding to the ridiculous look!
