Is this normal?

One breast started hurting in the middle of the night last night, when DS was nursing on it, I thought maybe he bit me, but then I realized the whole breast hurt. It starts right from my armpit, it feels almost bruised or super sore, and it's the whole thing. The other one feels nothing.

Is this normal? It' is really bugging me it hurts so much. I know sore breasts are a pregnancy thing, but I thought it was more unilateral and first tri thing....it is really bugging me!

I had a clogged breast with dd1 but that was after milk came in, so not sure it can happen before but what you're describing is similar. Call your ob and ask? Can't hurt right

You are right. I called and left a message. Sad thing is, I won't hear back from them until 4pm tonight probably (it's 8:45am). I wish there was a faster way to get an answer. Maybe they will get a chance to check messages after lunch, they have done that occasionally, but it's usually the end of the day before they get a chance.
