Is this really a girl?

Not sure if any of you could tell or have a scan just like it, but I had my gender scan today at 18w 4d and was told it was a girl, but I was never shown 3 lines or anything other than this shot right here. Although I believe the tech, a few people have said that it looks like a boy and a few said girl, which obviously leaves me confused. lol

Anyways, opinions?

That is a tricky shot.. If I were looking just at this picture, I would say this was a potty shot..........I would wait till your 20 week u/s to start really buying anything because I don't think that's a girl, but that is MHO.

Well unfortunately, this was my 20 week ultrasound, I just had it scheduled a week and 3 days early. So I don't think I'll be getting anymore ultrasounds unless I pay or there are complications.

That doesn't look like my dd's potty shot. I wouldn't be running out and buying pink yet if I were you. Maybe it's just the angle of the pic. I'm sure the tech had to have seen something more to feel confident in telling you girl though.

Awww sorry to hear that. It may just be swollen labia, but I am not seeing the classic lines.....Good luck and keep us posted

my 20 scan was as bad as yours. mine looks more like a classic "turtle" shot but taken from above. the sonographer told me it was a girl but i'm doubting it as much as you. i'm going to have a 3d scan to be sure. I wont be buying pink just yet either!!

The pic is weird but at 18 weeks I'd feel confident if they said girl boys are very obvious at that point

That is definitely a girl! Boys are VERY obvious at this point from any angle.

I had to pay for 4D scan, as when i had my NHS anomaly scan there couldn't determine her gender, as she had her legs crossed and upto her chest, so there weren't sure at all x

Although saying this... when i was having my boys, there was no doubt whatsoever! as you could actually see it floating about! haha
