Just curious what ppl think of this name? How many do you know, and what are their ages?

Would you say it's "popular"?
Would you say it's "trendy"?

Do ppl seem to know how to pronounce it correctly ("eye-la"), or do they often mispronounce it?

Isla Bella
Isla Noelle
Isla Brielle
Isla Juliet

Any other complimentary middle name suggestions (I'm not a fan of "filler" middle names, like: Ann, Marie, Rose, Grace, May, etc)?

Love this name. I think it's a great name for a baby through to adulthood.

I know only one Isla in real life, and she is only about a year and a half old.

Now as for middle names, not a fan of Isla Belle/Bella because it's too similar to Isabelle or Isabella etc. However, I love Isla Brielle.

Isla Rhiannon
Isla Leonie
Isla Esme

It's very popular here in uk at the moment, that said I only know of one little girl aged 2. X

Isla belle or isla bella is beautiful. I know people with dd called isla. Its a lovely name x

I have a friend with a daughter named Isla, she's about 9 months old now I think. I love the name! I would have it on my list for next time if my friend hadn't used it.

Isla Bella is a bit too rhymey for me. I think Isla Noelle sounds nice.

I don't know anyone with this name! I've also been mispronouncing it this entire time.

I also disagree that Ann, Grace, Marie, May, etc are filler names :winkwink:

However, I think Isla Noelle and Isla Brielle sound pretty.

I know people with the middle names May, Grace & Ann - and they all have meaning, or are honouring someone in their family.

They just happen to be some of the most popular ones out there too :flower:

Love the name. I don't think I know any. My favorite of your middle names would be Isla Noelle.

I don't know anyone with this name but I like it. It's very pretty. I like the name Isla Noelle :)

I love Isla :). I know/know of quite a few, 6 that I can think of, but 2 of them I haven't met, they are nieces of my friends. 1 is 17 and the other 5 are all under 3. I like Isla Noelle and Juliet best.

Very popular here at the moment and have heard of 4 newborns in the last 3 months with this name.

Think its a beautiful name though and like Isla Juliet! Xx

I love Isla! If our little boy had of been a girl, we most likely would have named him Isla Jane :) Isla seems to be a popular in the UK at the moment but I personally don't know anybody that has used the name.

The pronunciation Eye-lah is lovely, but so is Is-la.

Oh? Is "Is-la" a correct pronunciation too? Do some ppl go by this version? I didn't realize that.

My name is constantly mispronounced, so my goal is to not give my children names they will have to keep correcting. It's pretty annoying, in my opinion.

Sorry wasn't trying to offend anyone. Two of the names on my "filler" list are actually my mom's names - so if I used one it would be "honoring" my mom too. I just personally would never use them bc they are super common and many times ppl just use them without a family connection.

I've heard a woman shouting her child in the street as Is-la, whether that's the spelling of her name, I'm not sure. Just an assumption on my part :-)

Is your name Ruby? I've only ever heard that pronounced one way. Roo-be

I would say it like "eye-la", but wouldn't be surprised if a few people pronounced it wrong.

It's pretty trendy right now and getting really popular, but I don't think you'll ever see multiple girls named Isla in one classroom. Not in the US anyway.

I'm partial to Isla Noelle as Noelle is my middle name :haha:

Isla's a gorgeous name.

I've heard it's pronounced Eye-la, (think island), but I guess anyone can pronounce it how they want.

I don't know any Islas irl, just heard about them on BnB. I love the name, wanted it for a girl. However, DH strongly dislikes it. If we have a girl, the first one will be Sara. I'm still pulling for Isla for another one though, to me it even fits in with Sara, both short, in an "a"...
