Hi, my name is Rachael, but you can call me Sugar. I've been TTC since 2013, and am now finally starting Clomid, after my husbands Sperm count upped from 15 per mil to 85 per mil! :shock:

I'm totally nervous. I heard the horror stories of mood swings, cramping, ect. But I'm also really excited to finally be taking this step in our LTTTC journey. I'd like if it I had someone to communicate with while going through this.

So, is there anyone out there who would be my buddy:hugs:? I start my Clomid this Saturday (4/16/2016).

This is my first cycle taking clomid (I'm now 8dpo) and I just wanted to tell you don't worry! I was on 100mg cd3-7 for anovulatory cycles and it wasn't that bad at all. Have you ever taken progestrone? that was way worse for me. I only was extra warm at night and had a few headaches.
The cramping is real through. For me it would come all of a sudden and leave as fast as it started. It was for about 5 days I think pre-ovulation. But it's really a good thing because your follicles are growing!

Were you diagnosed with ovulation issues?
 
They think that it's possible that my eggs are not being released on time, and there for arnt viable. We've done allllll the tests. Everything is normal. So they're thinking it has something to do with when the eggs are being released. Clomid is my best shot at regulating when my eggs are released and making sure they are matured properly. I'm starting out on 50mg from days 3-7 as well. I'm not supposed to chart anything but my periods, and they said not to bother with OPKs either, since things like that have made me stress out before. :)
 
I strongly disagree on the OPKs. How else will you know if/when you're ovulating? My RE strongly recommended the digital ones so it was either yes or no. No stress lol
 
I've taken OPKs A LOT in my 3 years of TTC, and I've never had a positive. Even when I was testing every 12 hours. Blood work is able to say I'm ovulating though. The plan is just to BD at the usual predicted time, a LOT, as advised by the specialist.
 
Oh that's crazy. I only get a positive opk with smu on a 4 hour hold. Aren't our bodies so weird? Haha
 
I am on CD 16 this month! Just waiting to see if I will ovulate. I am taking 100 mg. 50 didn't work for me. Good luck!
 
Hello, I start my first round of Clomid tomorrow. Mind if I join in?
 
currently on cd 5 and day 2 of clomid. Also starting to get pimples :growlmad: no other real symptoms yet.... going to start morning opk's tomorrow.

Tonight we start the baby dancing, since OPKs arnt my thing.
 
lol we are starting either tonight or thursday, depends on his mood, were taking a vaca at Cape Cod this weekend so it might be a good chance for us to get some "1-on-1" time lol :)
 
On HIS mood!? You better tell him to get with the program! LOL!
Thats awesome that you guys are going to Cape Cod though. I hope you have fun.
 
Thanks... He is a combat vet with PTSD so yeah a lot of our baby dancing has to do with how he's doing. :)
 
Welp. I'm now CD 15. We'll probably BD one more time for good measure, then everything else will just be for fun again.
I'm convinced Clomid is evil. My face and shoulders are broken out in acne, my moods are all over the place,---but other than that nothing has changed. I didn't notice any difference in my CM, or random spasms/cramps from "ovulating". I just feel like I'm PMSing 24/7. Not fun. I really hope this works though! It would be a gift to have a healthy pregnancy after just one round of Clomid, but I know that the chance of that is slim.
How is everyone else feeling? :D
 
Good luck! I'm on cycle day 28. According to fertility friend I am eight days past ovulation. I took some tests this morning that I thought I could maybe see a shadow on. So we will see!
 
Cycle day 17 here... doing ok other than extreme cramps and my cm never quite reached ewcm, but we used preseed so im hoping that made up for it.... Unfortunately we only got to dtd last night, as our vaca did not go at all according to plan and we ended up leaving a day early... :( and I got + opk both last night and this morning so were going to keep going today and tomorrow for good measure..... just really hoping we didnt miss our window of opportunity
