Issues with Boy names

I know it's early, but I've always known what I would call a daughter should I have one - but have no idea about a son!

The three names I like the most are:

Roxas
Silas
Ezra

I really love Roxas but its incrediably unusual, Ezra I like second and would probably pick first should my name by something else! Emma and Ezra sounds a little funny to me.

Middle name I want to use a family name, but since my brother used up most of the nice ones (James and William) I am left with either Reginald or Raymond.

I also have a two syllable surname starting with R, so Roxas Raymond R____ is certainly quite R-y.

Silas I don't like anyway near as much as Ezra or Roxas so it's a distance 3rd.

Any ideas?

Ezra is cute and I like Silas . I think that if the middle names are sentimetal/family names then the 'flow' doesnt matter so much. I love middle names with family connections (all my children have middle names after family members). After all its really only on forms etc that you see the full name, every day he will be known as first name surname. xx

I love Ezra...and Silas! I think -JMO- I would use Silas with a last name that starts with R (especially if the middle name starts with R too) - to soften up the sound of the entire name, kwim? On the other hand it's true - you won't use his full name day in and day out, so you're the best off going with the first name you like the most since that's what you're going to use every day, every time you call him, etc..At any rate I don't know, if it was me I'd probably pick Silas..Good luck either way!!!

Silas has genuinely really grown on me since I started this post. Still a lot of Ra's with Ezra, EzRA RAymond R___. I'll keep thinking about it quite like Mortimer (Mort) as well and have a feeling that I'm not gonna know for definate until bubs is born (if babs is indeed a little boy).

Silas Raymond (or Silas Ray) I think is beautiful!

I think Ezra sounds fine with Emma!

What if you come up with another version of the family names to avoid the redundant "r"s? For example, if you take some letters from Reginald & some letters from Raymond = Donald. Just a thought?? Maybe too much of a stetch...
