hello everyone I am now 8 weeks pregnantI am the mother of three little beautiful girlssee when I was 5 weeks 4 days pregnant I had an ultrasound donethere was the baby and a heartbeat but no yolk sac my hcg numbers were doubling in only one day....so it was an ongoing pregnancy(thank god) but i remained curious why where my numbers going up double in one day when its suppose to be in 48 hours....So at 7 weeks 2 days i had an ultrasound done by my ObGyn.....he was able to see my baby with featal heart beat....but i noticed something next to the baby.....it was not there at 6 weeks....my dr said it could be the yolk sack....but afterr research...im not conviced it is...i mean the yolk sack looks like a moonlight circle....i had never seen anything like this in my past zonograms...even at early stages....what do you all think?......

I am seven weeks and this was my scan on friday. The circle is at the bottom.

I'm not sure what you're referring to but I can guarantee that your doctor who was doing the scan live will have a better idea than any of us. If you're concerned, maybe see a different doctor?

Looks normal to me. I'm on number 4 and I'm pretty sure all of my early scans looked like that.

The round part on this pic is a yolk sac. Looks similar to me

The earlier on you are the faster your HCG doubles.

That yolk sac does look kinda solid but I've never had a scan at that gestation.

It looks like the yolk sac.
You might not have seen it at the first scan because it might have been behind the baby or something.
I wouldn't worry about the doubling beta either, as long as there's a baby in there, the numbers really don't mean much after the first US.

Thanks for your time and giving me your opinion...its just that ive had miscarriages of twins in my past. Thank you all!!!
