It happened!

Well I went to the doctors this morning and I hd the usual response and a quick 5 minute appointment. She said when I go back to have my blood taken tomorrow they will phone me tomorrow with the results and from that they can tell if everything has come away.

I've got serious constipation now (sorry if TMI) so I think this is causing the pain now, i'm not passing as many clots either so i hope this is the end of it.

I had that yesterday but this morning it eased, it's just your body being clever and shutting that part off while we got through it. Thats bad that they don't scan you. How many weeks were you hun?

Hi glad to hear your bleeding is getting less, can I just ask, how do they tell from your blood test if it has all come away, is it just from your hormone levels? I have never been offered that, they just told me that I would have to take a pg test and if it was negative then it would all be gone?

I was coming up to 7 weeks but what they saw on the scan was 3mm so not consistant with my dates apparently. I'm feeling a bit better now but i'm so weak I couldn't even walk to boots earlier which is on 5 minutes from my house my legs felt like they were going to give way.

From what they told me if my hormone levels have dropped then everything should have gone. I had blood taken on Monday before I miscarried and I have to go back tomorrow morning to have some more taken (not sure if I've got enough left!) i'll get the results in the afternoon. I so hope that it will be over then so I can try and move on. I passed 2 big clots about an hour ago and just want it over with :hissy:

Maccy, the amount that you passed is normal. I went through the same thing last year with a blighted ovum and was basically sat on the loo for 2 days. Its not nice but the worst of it (clotting) should now be over. You'll prob carry on bleeding for another 2 weeks but hopefully it wont be too heavy. Are you going back for a scan to make sure everything has come away? Just look out for infections. Dont mean to panic you but i suffered with Pelvic Inflamatory Disease for months after and its not nice.

Hope everything gets better for you and good luck for the future

I just wanted to let you all know I think you are sooo brave. when i m/c i was at home all alone, didnt have a clue what was going on. my friends didnt really understand and i wasn't with the father. Keep being strong girls, i think you are all fantastic and so so brave.

I have to take two different antibiotics for 7 days to lessen risk of infection!

Just wanted to give you both a  it's a truly awful & frightening experience for anyone to have to go through xx

Thanks girls for all your kind words. I am slowly getting back to myself now and looking forward to going back to work next week. We have decided to wait until I have my first AF before TTC I think i need a bit of time to get over this before we start again. Hopefully we will get a BFP and a baby we both long for. x

Yeah thanks ladies, starting to feel normal too, I won't go back to work till after 1/2 term as I'm a supply teacher and my follow up isn't till a week Friday. We are also waiting for the first AF to arrive before we try again, just wanna make sure my body is ok and running as it should be. Hope I meet you Happy on the other board when we both have BFP's....again. xxx

Hey no such thing as chickening out by opting for ERPC!! I feel like I chickened out by saying I didn't want ERPC and after my MM deciding to wait and see if I completed naturally! I think we are all brave having to endure m/c whichever way we choose

I really wanna start trying as soon as I stop bleeding but think the best plan is to wait after first :witch: I can't wait for the day we all meet up on the First Trimester board!!

:dust: Here is some dust for us all!!

Well after feeling much better and going back to work this week we have been thinking about trying again very soon. I only had 2 days of bleeding so i've been all clear for a week now, we are starting to think maybe we should just get back on the bandwagon and not bother waiting for AF.

I think the longer I go on without anything happening in the bedroom department the more i will put off wanting to become pregnant because i'm scared of m/c again. My OH says its entirely my decision but i'm sure undecided what to do. If I dont wait for AF and somethin awful happens again i'll wonder if its my fault but then if I take ages to conceive after waiting i'll wonder if we should just have got on with it whilst i'm super fertile? So confused :hissy:

There's no rhyme or reason to it all. You've just got to do what feels right. As far as I know (based on internet reading so it comes with a health warning), there's no physical reason why you shouldn't try straight away (before AF). The only reason docs suggest waiting is for ease of dating and just to make sure your mentally ready. If I'm wrong on this (I know reading the internet for information is filled with potential issues) I'd love for someone to let me know.

I'm still a way off that stage but I already know I'm going to be in the same boat. I can't imagine using contraception when we so want a child. It's all so confusing.

btw. Is it scientifically true that you are more fertile just after a m/c or pregnancy? Just a question as I don't know the answer.
