Oh love, I hear you...

I am such a snacker, if it's there (cookies, crackers, chips, tater tots) I will eat it.

What I've done, is keep fresh fruit available in my fridge. Grapes, apples, tangelos, easy to grab when I have that urge to ask dH to get me chips or chocolate.

I find that another thing with us, is that if we're out and we're hungry, we'll stop at a fast food place and end up eating a big greasy mess! I'm still really, really working on this... But having a menu on the fridge of what I'm planning to make for dinner helps with that. A little.

haha!! thanx for this....its terrible aint it....my freezer is stocked right up with healthy stuff...i just order in and love it for all of 5 minutes and then feel so guilty....im ttc in a few weeks....ahhhhh its sooo annoying....it should be sooo easy but it just isnt. ill eat anything in sight....well except peas or celery...:) xxx :flower:

Lol

just wanna add something to this

first time I got pregnant at age 22 I was overweight and also the second time both by around 2-3 stones fell straight away

This time round I'm healthy weight just over 9 and half stone but older (34) so let's see if I can get preg too

I really dunno if weight is a factor to getting pregnant? Is it? I fell overweight easily before

Good luck xxxx

It is, it's awful! >.< I feel dumb, rather than guilty, because I want to make sure my body is perfectly equipped to grow another person (I don't think I'll lose weight in the month and a bit till TTC, but I want to have a healthy eating habit in place)...

*goes to snack on another grape...*

I think you should allow yourself 'bad food' every now and then otherwise if you are really strict with yourself you might be more likely to slip up big time.

Me and hubby in the past few months have tried to be good during the week and at the weekend we either have a take-away or a pub meal out. I then didn't mind being good during the week as I knew I had a treat at the weekend.

I used to be on Weight Watchers but still wanted some chocolate each day so I just had smaller versions. Little packs of chocolate buttons, lower fat crisps instead of regular crisps. Obviously fruit is better than these but small steps at first!

I've always yo-yod with my weight, and I'm currently overweight. I've lost about 20lbs so far, mostly by being strict with myself in the week, and then fri night til sunday having what I fancy. Even the weekends where I've really pigged out I've still lost. But snacking is my downfall. Or more accurately, snacking in the evenings. I don't know why. I just try not to have unhealthy stuff in the house, if its not there I can't eat it!

I'm on slimming world and it's all about moderation, it seems to be working because i've lost 21lbs in 11 weeks :)

I always make sure I have a treat if I want one though!

Good luck with it! xx

On the Cambridge Diet - day 2 for me - very restrictive and not many people agree with it as its all shakes etc but it works for me. If I stick to it, I should be down about 3.5 stone by December ready for ttc!

Keep at it ladies, if nothing else, I just dont want to look fat rather than pregnant when I get there!

A x

well im on the herbalife....or i was on the herbalife  haha!!

it works very well for me....when im on it and not raming the whole fridge in my mouth!! i just want to lose 1 or 2 stone just so i dont balloon when im pregnant. ive heard the average weight to put on is 24 lbs!!! :saywhat:
which is nearly 2 stone....im happy with my weight but medically, im overweight and just want to eat as well as possible. these past few days though i just cant.

but thanx ladies, its been great reading ya posts...helpful and funny.

Ahhh now this is the other side

I had very very good pregnancies in both right up until labour.... then got ''pre eclampsia'' but this only came on during labour once it started... bp was fine (normal) right the way through and i ended up at near 15 stone once i was due to drop! phew!!! Emergency C-sections for both

Ive seen skinny celebs with pre eclampsia though so who knows!!

Im likely to get it again ive been told by the doc as ive had it twice before...and im a good weight so....

Who knows!!!

Jury is out lol

Fruit or cake? Fruit or cake?

No brainer really isn't it... :dohh: It's an evolutionary response to want to eat fattier foods, as that's what we'd do in times gone by when food might not have been readily available. Eat up when it was in preparation for times of famine.

Of course, that's not the case now, but our subconscious response hasn't changed :dohh:

Hey hun,

No pearls of wisdom I'm afraid but just reassuring comfort that you're not on your own. I read the title of your post and chuckled because I'm in the same place. I know what I should be doing...and why, surely this is the best motivation I could ever have, but still I seem to eat, eat, eat!! I'm trying to put it down to expecting AF any day but who knows??! I've gotta get back on track not long to go now.

xxx
