It started as a joke, but now I'm actually worried.

So in 5 days, on the 29th, my Aunt Shannon is having an Eclipse Party for the midnight release of Twilight's Eclipse. She had one last year for New Moon and it was loads of fun. (I was actually pregnant during that one, but didn't know it) So after the party we all went to the midnight showing.

I'm going to the Eclipse party and opening and I'll be 37 weeks along. It sounds insane, but my Aunt (my grandpop's sister in law) died back in May and she was a huge fan of Twilight and her and my cousin (her grand-daughter) were counting down the days till the release and were helping my Aunt Shannon plan the party. So now it's not just an Eclipse Party, but kind of like her last hoorah, you know? Which is why I wouldn't miss it for the world.

But I'm terrified of going into labor then. I've been feeling sick and all that, plus my nesting is getting out of hand. None of us think I'll make it to my due date either. My mom suspects I'll go sometime next week, but now I have this fear that because of all the walking and noise from the premier I'll go into labor during the movie! Or after, when I've only got a couple hours of sleep. :dohh:

It started as a joke, but now I'm actually afraid of it!

Awww, Im sure you'll be fine :) but just incase you will have people around you anyway its not like your going by yourself , i think you should go and have fun :D

Awh hun, even if you do go into labour, it won't be too bad, I'm sure. I'm planning on going to the premier of Toy Story 3 when it comes out, and OH is convinced I'll go into labour during the film. Thing is, I probably won't tell him until it's finished, becaus eI don't want to miss the movie!!!

You'll be okay hun, if you do happen to go into early labor during the movie you can just leave sweetie. Just dont over exert yourself, if you are to tired than you need to go home, everyone will understand. Maybe you could take a nap earlier in the day? I know I couldnt do it, Im going to see it on the 30th but I couldnt stay up for a midnight showing, I'd be too exhausted. So I say you are a trooper for even attempting and people will definitely understand if you cant make it through. And if you do happen to go into early labor its definitely not the end of the world! I'm sure you know its not like in the movies when the womens water breaks and the baby is being born 5 minutes later lol :) xx

Sorry to thread barge - but HAHA that made me laugh so much and same actually , it comes out down here like 3 weeks before im due , so il be 37 weeks  But im planning on having baby at home so hopefully i wont go into labour at the cinema :dohh:

Yeah, I'm gonna have to take a nap before I leave. I'm just worried about the traffic and everything if I do go into labor, you know? I mean, my hospital is only like 15 minutes away from the theater, which is better than the 30 minutes from my house, and like you said, it's not like I'll pop her out in 5 minutes. :haha:

Can loud noises bring on labor? Cause I had always thought going to a movie was fine, but I know I went to see Alice In Wonderland in IMAX and they asked me how far along I was before they sold me the ticket. Apparently if you're past a certain point (I think 30 weeks) you're not supposed to go to IMAX because of how loud it is. This shouldn't be a problem in a regular theater, right?

Sorry i'm of no help to your dilemma but I just love sharing this nugget of info with everyone who mentions Twilight...
My FOB and his group of friends are really good mates with Rob Pattinson and they went to the same school in South London...
I always find that hard to believe as I thought Rob Pattinson was American! But apparently he often comes round to see them all still....
I must keep in touch with FOB for this reason alone :haha:

I'm such a saddo for always telling everyone this!

haha that's awesome! Yeah, he's definitely not American. I'm a sucker for a guy with an accent, and in the Twilight movie there's a scene where he slips up and his accent comes out really hard. I was in the theater going  "HE'S BRITISH!" My friends thought I'd lost my marbles.

All you can do is be prepared :flower: Good idea having a little sleep before and just chuck your hospital bag in the care or have it packed at home somewhere easy to find so someone can bring it for you if they need to. If your organised I actually think it would be pretty awesome to go into labour watching Eclipse!! Good story.. as long as it's near the end and your waters don't break so you don't have to miss any of it :haha: xxx

Haha yeah, or else the top news story would be "Girl refuses to leave theater while in labor. Claims to have needed to see the end of Eclipse" :haha:

OMG that would be SO COOL. If it happens please do that, I would be so proud of you.. :O just think you might get like special tickets to Breaking Dawn.. and get to meet R-Pattz, etc.. OR BE IN THE NEXT MOVIE.

*ahem* I have an overactive imagination/strong wishful thinking

Honestly, I think the walking and stuff should be fine.
My nesting has been nuts for weeks, I've went a bit moody with my mum because she's decided now is the time to get new floors down and decorate all upstairs, so the baby still has no nursery :o
I've been walking a fair bit too, all over Glasgow, walked to the hospital once, getting last minute bits and bobs, fathers day gifts etc. and I definately could feel babys head pushing right against me, felt so weird and uncomfy lol. Still nothing.

All you can do is make sure you are well rested, comfy in the cinemas and that you have your hospital bag in your aunts car so if anything does happen you are all prepared :)

Unless you have complications, i doubt you will go into labor, most first time moms, like 90% go over due at least a day.

you could go into labour at anytime! just a risk you gotta take when your doing anything while pregnant! lol.
go and have fun! if you do go into labour, at least you will be with alot of people! xx

^^ agreed with above poster, better then being home alone. But i still think you will be fine. And im sure if something happened the birth of you child would be way more important. Woman walk miles trying to induce labor and dont go into labor for weeks, and noice, noice is noice, its life lol.

I agree, go, have fun & if you do happen to go into labour at least it will be a funny story to tell her when she is older

If you didnt go and nothing happened you will feel really down about it, so go & have fun, I hope you enjoy it - I havent seen any of the Twilight films yet! Might be my mission for the weekend :)

It would be sods law, like me going into labour at 38/39 weeks the day I was meant to be going to download :'(

That's what I'm saying! Just because it would be horrible timing, she'll want to come out then.
Hm...I'm actually thinking it's a very good idea to go now. Because if I go and nothing happens, I got through the movie! And if something does happen, I'll get my little girl! So it's win/win!

Awww it'll all be fine. Just try and not worry and enjoy the movie.

I can't wait to see Eclipse! I'm going to the midnight showing too, but because i'm in the UK I have to wait until July 3rd. Bummer!

Edward Cullen :cloud9: gawd, could next friday not come any sooner?!?!?!

i really wanna go and see it a the cinemas when it comes out but the cinemas are 2 hr away so gotta convinse my mum to come along and take gabrielle the water park while i see it lol bc it would be a nightmare having my lo in the theatre
