Hi ladies, i was diagnosed with ITP in my last pregnancy, for those who dont know what this is it means that my body sees my platelets as foreign so destroys them as they are made, a normal adult needs a platelet number between 150 and 400 to prevent bleeding, my platelets are currently 63 so i am seeing my consultant next week, i am only 18 weeks pregnant, with my last pregnancy i was induced at 37 weeks after receiving platelet transfusions to ensure a safe level, is there anyone else who has experience of this?
