Hi Ladies,

I haven't posted to this forum in quite a while, but to anyone who remembers me...I'm scheduled for induction Monday the 4th at 7pm. The doctor will be inserting cytotec to thin my cervix, then the following morning pitocin if my labor hasn't already started.

I'm 41 yrs old and this is my 3rd child...a miracle really because her father wasn't supposed to be able to have any more children. My oldest are DD 20 and DS 18. My daughter has two children so they will have a baby aunt lol. She is going into the delivery room with me and she is soooooo excited. They live with me now so I wll have lots of help.

I am really sad that the end of my pregnancy is so near, I hate to admit this but I have actually thought of having another, but the risk are so scary to me...

OH was an ogre during the first part of my pregnancy and I really didn't think we would make it at all, but something happened somewhere along the line and he has really turned it around :wohoo:

So, ladies there is hope. I have had a pretty much picture perfect pregnancy except for a bit of gestational diabetes controlled by diet alone. I haven't had much pain & haven't been very exhausted. The only thing I did suffer from was extreme emotions in the 2nd trimester.

I've found a new love for life and I attribute that to this new life inside of me.

Why the frowny face?

Surely having a baby is funner than being pregnant?

^^
Well my first was a nightmare baby, so my pregnancy was much nicer than the first year of his life.

Good luck for Monday WhoopC! I'm wonder if mine will decide to show up in the next few days or make me wait a little longer.

I'm enjoying pregnancy too, and I'm scared about what to do when she gets here! Good luck xx

Eeeeeek only two days left! I'm having a mini panic attack rearranging furniture, mopping floors, vacuuming, spraying lysol all over everthing...OMG OMG OMG she's comingggggggg in 2 days.

On a side note my OH thinks we should 'just go naturally' rather than induction, because he wants the experience of rushing me to the hospital...bless his heart...LMAO um sorry OH but I'll have to stick to the doctor's advice on this one. :)

I'm so excited for you! You'll have your wee one in your arms soon! Things must be going well health wise for you since your're not having a pre scheduled c-section. That's great. They are forcing me again to have a c-section but I'm turning 44 when this babe is due and I have type 1 diabetes and kidney problems so I need the c-section. I get what you're saying about loving being pregnant though. It was a hard choice for me as well having a second in my forties. But I wanted my 18 month old to have a sibling close in age. But my family still doesn't know I'm pregnant. They worry so much. That's the one downfall of getting pregnant past 40. Others often worry more then you do!lol

I understand how you feel! I am 41 and due my 2nd in a few weeks. I'm loving feeling him wriggling and kicking inside and I will really miss being pregnant. I have loved both of my pregnancies and I feel sad that it is unlikely that I will do this again. I am getting on a bit now, according to the medical profession and we only have a 2 bedroomed house so having another is not exactly practical.

But I am really looking forward to meeting our wee man and I am sure that will help me forget any feelings of sadness. Good luck!

thank you for sharing your lovely news with us! Hope she`s here now, safe and sound! Thinking of you :hugs: hope you are getting some sleep
