Hey all, not been around for a while as trying to be relaxed about things, but we're waiting now for a our first appt at the assisted conception unit. Seems like IUI/IVF is going to be a reality!
Here's us:
We've been TTC since Oct 2008. Bloods show ovulation fine, and SA good too. Got referred to Sheffield Hallamshire Hospital's Jessops wing gyneacology dept after a year, and finally saw Dr Jivraj in Jan 2009. Since then had ultrasound, fine. Then HSG, which showed a strange blocked tube/missing tube. Had MRI, which suggested a tube missing (unicornate uterus) which was confirmed by hysteroscopy in Sept 2010. Meanwhile been on clomid 50mg for 5 months (on my last month now, as I took a month's break).
So finally get to see the FS Jan 2011 to hear what we knew all along. No detectable infertility problems, unicornate uterus shouldn't affect fertility.
Now waiting for an appointment at the assisted conception unit.
We've been told we'll be able to have upto 6 cycles of IUI and one IVF...sigh. hope it doesn't come to that!
But just wondering how IUI works - do the cycles run one after the other??
Does anyone know what the waiting times are like for IUI or IVF at Jessops
