IUI help

Thanks Holly! I also still have some abdominal cramps too but thry were so much more intense before as well as the boob tenderness.

I dont think id fly if i get pg... It would have taken us so long to conceive that i wouldnt want to risk it.

When do you plan to test? Im stickin to sunday - 10 DPO

Hey Ladies...I wish everyone good luck! I was on clomid for four months, only ovulated twice...second time had a failed IUI. I'm about to get a HSG test Monday and then contact a fertility specialist. Have you ladies been diagnosed with a reason why your not ovulating on your own? I only ovulated a couple times last year with no help and looking forward to hopefully getting some answers. The waiting game is so crazy and I felt like I was about to lose it! This month was the first month I relaxed a bit because I knew for sure I didn't ovulate.

I have the same concern, although I did have a positive OPK, but no trigger shot. My nipples were burning last cycle, but this cycle nothing... I do feel like there is some kinf of suspicious activity down below, but nothing major.
Tempt at 6AM today - 37c.

My hubby was visiting friends in FL last night and called me just now to tell they are expecting a third child. While I don't know his friends that well, it made me feel very jealous :( And he said it was "an accident". Now my mood is spoiled and I feel like a loser :( some people hav accident's, and some like me cannot get pregnant ;(

I know the feeling...seems like I know of 5 women who got pregnant either with ease or by accident. While you're doing the waiting game its totally normal to have those feelings. My neighbor who wasn't trying got pregnant and is due any day...I was supposed to be having a little one right now...try not to get down...We're planning a vacation in a couple months to take our minds off of it all...

A v v v faint line on FRER this morning - most likely still the shot coming out.

Anyone esle still had the trigger shot in their system 12 days after?

Will go get ClearBlue later on. But about 99% sure Im not.

Are you testing today Holly?

Hi rd2mommyhood! :) I wish you the best of luck with TTC.. I know how hard it is ... such an emotional rollercoaster. I know for me~ I ovulate totally on my own. My DH had a poor SA back in November which is why I did the IUI.

MariaF~ I thought of you this morning!!!!!! Do you really think it's the trigger shot STILL?? I sure hope not!!! Keep me posted and I'll keep my FX'd it's just a BFP!!!! I had considered testing today but I ended up going to Orlando to Disney World for the weekend Friday night and just got home~ didn't have a preggo test on me so I plan on testing tomorrow morning I believe. (SIGH) I am soooo afraid.. I know 11 DPO is still potentially early.. pray for me!!

I think that's your BFP! The HCG shot was completely out of my system by 8 dpo. Test again in the AM. If it's darker you will know for sure. Good luck!

Lurdes - I think you are fine, hun. 37 is a good temperature - I wish mine was that high! But weird about the nipples, right?

Holly - I also had VERY prominent pains in my ovaries over the 2 days before IUI. It was raining when we were walking towards the clinic from the car park so I thought Id run - well, I coulnd't! My right ovary felt like it was about to explode! So I had to go back to walk and was almost doubled over

So you'd think the pains and the Trigger shot indicated ovulation....but then why the low BBT and no sore nipples? I really wish I could just relax and not try to connect every little symptom with pregnancy! LOL!

Holly - we've been to FL, Miami, Tampa, the Keys, Orlando - and driven all the way from Tampa to the Keys - loved it!!!

Haven't been to the Gulf coast and that's probably next. In fact we are thinking about April holidays and Florida is one of the top choices  I just need to wait and see what happens with this IUI. If it doesn't work, I think we'll book the holiday and just wait until after that for the next IUI cycle.

I too had tenderness in both ovaries esp right side.I think its because of the HCG shot. This was perhaps my only anovulatory cycle.Despite having 2 follicles(unstimulated),one being 24.9,I believe the HCG shot messed it up or made it hemorrhagic that the ovum did not pop.My PO day 7 progesterone confirmed that I dint ovulate.
But I believe you'll get a BFP,with a faint positive FRER on PO 11!!

Nope, a stark white BFN for me. Feeling crushed to be honest...

Not sure what's going to happen next. I just don't think I can emotionally afford another IUI cycle. Alsom what do I say at work when I need to go for scans every other day for a week?

May be a little break and then Ovarian Drilling.

I hope you've had better luck Holly. Keeping my fingers crossed for you :flower:

MariaF~ hang in there my dear~ don't give up hope! “Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7

I know its emotionally taxing.... trust what your gut says~ if you feel like you need a little break for now and then trying ovarian drilling ~ listen to that. I really am a firm believer in listening to those inner thoughts!

As for me~ I took TWO tests this morning@ 11DPO and I got two faint BFP's!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited... I doubt 2 tests are wrong. I am going to take one more test in the morning just to make sure but I've been feeling crampy still right down where my uterus is and just VERY tired~ I had a suspicion over the weekend too~ but didn't want to get my hopes up to be disappointed... but my gut says the IUI worked!!!

Congrats Hollyw - Very exciting! Let us know after your scan how many babies there are!

lurdes777~ thanks!!!! I am thinking ONE.. Dh think it'd be fun to have 2 HAHAHAHA.. he doesn't get to carry them! I am so thankful either way!!

Congrats Holly. Really pleased for you but very jealous too. Everyone on here seems to have gotten a BFP over the last 2 months....

I don't believe in God but thanks for the references. I don't know what feels right to do next....I just want to curl up in a ball and weep...

H&H 9 months to you and bean

:hugs: I'm sorry MariaF :hugs: I know there is nothing I can really say bc I understand what you're feeling right now but definitely keep your chin up! And its still early~ there was another lady on here that didn't get her BFP til 14-15DPO so there is still hope!!

OHHH MY GOSH!!! Congrats Holly! I had a good feeling it would work the first time for you :)

Let us know what the future tests say, but I'm sure 2 faint BFP is good enough!!

RayeAnne~ thank you!! I had a feeling over the weekend honestly... so I think that with the physical symptoms and the 2 tests.. it's pretty likely!

Maria - I was crying all morning yesterday... Today feel better and here is my plan:

- skip meds this cycle, have HSG, try naturally

If HSG comes back normal, will try naturally for another month and then try another 2 cycles of IUI with meds.

HSG is the only test on the list that I haven't done.

Do you have a plan?

Thanks Holly and Lurdes.

That's the thing - I don't really have a plan. Every time I start new treatment I think: This is it! This will definitely work.
Then it doesn't and Im in bits for days.

Then I pick myself up and come up with a new plan.

At the moment Im leaning towards another laparoscopy to remove endo and have ovarian drilling.
I still have the mental block that despite mature follicles and trigger shot I still don't release the egg outside the ovary because of the thick capsule. So after the drilling with the Clomid should hopefully work.

Lurdes - I hate not having a plan! It makes me feel so powerless and frustrated :nope:
I will be ringing the hospital on Thursday and hopefully will book the lap.

My Mum keeps telling me Im moving too fast...but it's been 16 months - what's the point of waiting longer?!

So here's the plan:

Provided the hospital has places Id like to have ovarian drilling and endo removed asap - as early as next week or week after next.

The Clomid - I think Ill be trying 75mg a day because 50 seems a bit low for me but 100 is too much - so half way should be the best :haha:

And try naturally (well, on the Clomid) for 2-3 months. Then either another IUI or straight to IVF because the effects of the ovarian drilling only last 6 months or so

MariaF~ I agree with lurdes77 that having a plan is definitely a good way to go.. that is sort of how I saw it... 3 IUI's .. ask for a 4th if my doc will agree to it if need be.. and then IVF. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you my dear!!! :hugs:
