Hi ladies,

I need some advice please. We have been trying for a year and a half to have a child. I had surgery to remove polyps that filled my uterus in 2015 and then was placed on clomid to bring my ovulation forward to day 14 from 19. I was also placed on metform and progesterone. I do not have PCOS and am 36. I ovulate on my own and DH's SA was ok.

We have now been told to see an RE after trying clomid for 5 months with no success. I have been told to expect an IUI recommendation. While I wait for my appointment, can anyone give me an idea of the time investment in this process? I work 10 hour shifts and need some idea of how many appointments I will have to make and how often.

Thank you!

i would schedule atleast an 45-an hour out of work for iui. and thats if you already have turned his sample in.
They will also most likely have you do an ultrasound before to make sure you have mature follicles, so you aren't wasting your time with iui. that takes about 30-45 min

I don't know how many appointments you get in the US, but here in Denmark I think I had about 3 ultrasounds to check at first for cysts (to get the green light to start injections) then they were for checking follie growth and lining thickness and 1 appointment for the actual IUI. All over about a 2 week period starting 2-3 days after AF. I don't remember exactly but think all these appointments varied from between 15 minutes and 35-45 minutes.

Good luck :dust:
