OMG I'm on box 6 now! Time is flying by :headspin: Getting a bit more excited and nervous at the same time as the date draws closer !!

Lil bub is kicking like crazy these days, mostly early mornings and late evenings. I've gotten into the habit of waiting for them to say good morning with their daily kicks. :happydance:

Haven't made any baby purchases yet. Said I would hold off until I finalise a list so that I don't overspend.

Looking back I have come so far in terms of my positivity about this pregnancy. At first I was in so much shock and a bit sad b/c I thought it would be too much for me and my OH to handle, and that we simply weren't ready. On that note, I hope everyone is doing well. And for those feeling sad and confused about an unplanned pregnancy, hang in there, find support, it'll all come together!

Congrats on moving up a box, this is a very nice and upbeat post. Thank you for that. Ours was an unplanned pregnancy as well, and that can wreac havoc on the mind. I'm sure it'll all work out though.

Good thinking on making a list so as to not overspend.

YAY you & what a positive post :D

Nice idea bout the list however your too late giving me that suggestion

congrats, mango!!! i guess this means i will be moving up a box next week!! :) very glad to hear that you're positive about the pregnancy. it can be stressful, but will all be worth it in the end.

Thanks ladies! Indeed Vejables, you're next for Box 6 !!

This pregnancy has seemed to go really fast, and I can sympathise with the kicking lol.Hope all is going well:hugs:

YAY i love it when the box moves along!!!
xx

its exciting when i box moves up a space, i love it :D

I think mines due to move up one in the next couple of days

x

I was very apprehensive about being pregnant. I kept thinking that i am too selfish, and i wont make a good mommy. My bf has helped me out a lot, and the support of my friends and family helped too. Every day that goes along, i get more and more excited. I moslty cant wait to find out what it is. I guess we all just gotta hang in there and lean on our loved ones for support. :hugs:

Happy six months :D I'm happy to hear that you're feeling more positive about things now. :)

yes, hang in there! the further you get along, the more excited and less apprehensive you get. :)

Oh yes. its getting better! I think once i find out what it is finally, thats when the excitement will really kick in. We are finding out this friday hopefully! Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Aww how exciting! I have no idea what I'm having though I kind of have a slight intuition.

Hi ladies. I'm new to the forum, so it may take a little while before I become familiar with all the abbreviations, boxes, and displaying pics etc.

My pregnancy was not planned either. This is my third baby (1 boy 10 yrs $ 1 girl 8 yrs). My partner lives 400 km's away and we are making plans to be together, but it's difficult.

I joined the forum because I'm 37 yrs old, starting my 15th week, and am tired of hearing and reading that I'm supposed to still be flat (as opposed to fat). I've put on about 9 kg's in my breasts and belly. I have before and after photo's which prove to me I'm not imagining it. I was 109 kgs before the pregnancy, but am now 118 kgs.

Am I alone? Is anybody else in a similar situation? My boyfriend and doctors have so far made me feel abnormal (probably not intentionally, but I feel this way).

yea...im getting pretty antsy about it. I'm hoping for a boy, and I actually had a dream that it was a boy...but we'll have to wait and see!

Thanks for the comfort princess2323!

I have my first appointments with a dietician and psyc nurse (assistance I never had with my first two kids). Until then, I'm trying to deal with my negative thoughts in a positive manner, I hope.

Overall, I'm happy about this pregnancy, and am the luckiest mum due to my other two adorable kids. My 10 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter went away discussing chores immediately after I announced the pregnancy. My son has decided to do the pooy nappies and my daughter will do the wet ones. NO JOKE... MY SON (and daughter) IS EXCITED TO DO THIS! He's also been a good, loving older brother with his sister too. Both of them are excited about the possibility of starting a new family (400 km's) away, and love my current partner so much, that they would side with my current partner over me in an argument. So long as they still get to have contact with their natural father who they love, they will be happy.

Thanks again Princess!

By the way, I'm new. Can anybody explain the "BOX"?

Hi nikkybaby, mango, and others discussing baby's sex.

This is my 3rd bub. I had a strong motherly instinct with the sex of my first two kids, and I was right. So much so, that I forgot to look at the 'package' when my first baby was born (my son). After baby was taken away for measurement and bath etc, I asked for somebody to confirm the sex. The gyno pick up my boy with legs curled up... All I could see was his back, bum, then balls.

I remember smiling, rolling over and sleeping.

Anyway. I'm confident I'm having a boy this time. It won't matter to me because I have a pigeon pair already, but this is my partner's first and maybe only kid. His parents passed away before I met him. His only other relative in Australia is his brother, but he has no kids either. My partner resigned himself to thinking he and his brother just can't have kids. He will be 46 years when the baby is due (I'm 37). I'm sure he'll love either a son or daughter, but I know deep down he'd like a son to carry on the family name. I personally don't see the importance of this if there's nothing to gain from being an heir? It's not as though either of us come from Royalty. :tease::-k

My next ultrasound is set for 26 November and can't wait to find out what it is. In the meantime, I'm sticking to unisex colours.
