Thank you so much for posting this. I have a consultation on the 15th march.

Sexkillen - can I ask what forum you have been on where you have spoken to other ladies taking part in the trial?
 
I know I was naughty to test early, *must be stronger* but you all know how hard it is. I tested again a couple of days after but still bfn so expecting AF tomorrow :cry:

Looking forward to Fridays appointment now, don't think I'll have my notes from Guys in time though which is a bit of a pain

Thank you so much for posting this foquita!! I emailed them asking for more info and I got an email back within the hour. Anyway after several more emails backwards and forwards I have an initial appointment on 5th April. Those of you who are going before me, please let me know how you get on. :) It all seems to good to be true!!

I live in Manchester, so 200 miles away from Hammersmith. Where will you be travelling from?

Have you ladies all been emailing someone called Ali? They seem lovely.

I'm travelling from Coventry, so not quite as far as you!

I was thinking maybe we should set up a group or thread for those attempting to get on the trial, or carrying on here and introduce ourselves?

Hi Ladies,

I wanted to update for anyone else looking to join the trial.

We were turned down on Friday due to the fact that I have responded poorly in other IVF rounds. This annoyed me greatly as I emailed with a detailed run down of my previous protocol and response.

The trial uses a maximum does of 150iu Menopur and since I responded poorly to double that dosage they wouldn't take me.

Annoying since we traveled 230 miles and booked into a hotel overnight (cost of travel & hotel over £200) to be told 10 mins into the appointment that we weren't suitable :cry:

I thought I should post here as I wasn't warned about this when I was asked to come in, despite them having my full history beforehand.

Good luck anyone on the trial.

Just thought if pop in and say hi

I am on the kisspeptin trial as we speak!!

I emailed beginning of feb and spoke to Ali - he is so lovely.

I saw dr Carby, the nurse, the sonographer and Ali all on 22/2.

I started gonal f on sat and have first scan weds

It has all gone so quick.

Just wanted to let you know that they don't fund an extra go if this doesn't work. Ali said the info sheet is badly written and refers to nhs treatment if eligible.

I've been speaking to the other ladies in the trial on the other forum too.

I don't know where the confusion with the second IVF treatment if from then, I must've read the way the participant info sheet was written :wacko:

I found everyone at hammersmith really lovely. I am 1 1/2 hours away from hammersmith so they managed to get me in to see everyone on the same day.

This is my first try at any fertility treatment so it's very exciting but nerve wracking too.
