I've only just begun contemplating names tonight.... With my last two children I had their names picked before they were even conceived so this is new to me lol....

So far for a boy name the only ones I really like are Jayah and Arian. I think I prefer Jayah though when I google the naming and such it most states that Jaya (jayah) is a girls name.... though it does also come up that there are boys named Jayah too (some football player, etc).... Anyways, do you all think Jayah is too girly?

Then there's Arian.... I like it but apart of me feels as though it's a bit too simple.... what do you think?

Honestly, they both sound like girls names. Darian is definitely a boys name though and it sounds great.

To be honest, I think Arian is far too close for comfort to "Aryan" so I'd stay well away from that. How about Orion instead? Sorry, I'm not generally good with very creative names, just wanted to point out that association.

When i read the title... i assumed they were both girl name choices... sorry. Both too girly, in my opinion.......

Congrats on starting this long daunting task of finding the perfect name! Good luck!

What's the bad association with Aryan? I think I may even like that better then Arian.... (my girl name pick is Arya.....) And I really don't like the name Orion at all.....

I really don't like the name Darian either... far too common and pokemon like
:(

OK......

What do you think of the name "Kyran" pronounced ky-ran for a boy?

or "Kariya" pronounced "Ka-ree-ya" for a girl?

I used to work with a beautiful little boy named Kyree! (kie-ree) Everyone LOVED him -- he was the "class favorite"! Do you like that name?

Kariya -- sounds just like Korea to me? So i'm not fond... sorry!

Kyran is nice -- but there is a missing little boy named Kyron all over the news -- so the name makes me think of him...

So i just googled Aryan/Arya to see... bc i didn't know either...

Here is what i found:

"Aryan, a word nowadays referring to the blond-haired, blue-eyed physical ideal of Nazi Germany, originally referred to a people who looked vastly different."

All the info i found was anti-jews..... nazi ideals..... Hitler associations, etc....

LOL well that's what I named my older two kids... I love the names :)

I like Kyree too but to me that sounds more girly then Jayah.... And atleast with Jayah if he grows up to hate it he can have people call him Jay (though I wouldn't call him that!) whereas with Kyree he could be shortened to Ky.... but I already have a Ky..... And although I like K names alot if I were to have another (and have a Kyran, Kariya and Kyree) it feels as though there would be too many K K K K K K K sounds.....

Another K name I love (again people will likely think it's girly... but I do know of a little boy named it) is Kaiya (pronounced Kie-ya) but that's way too close to my other kids names.... same goes with Kai....

And I googled Aryan too and found the same hitler stuff.... plus I don't think it sounds good with my last name so I'll skip that one... But Arya is still good! Thing is... I have a feeling it's gonna be a boy.... A nameless boy....

Oops.... thought you lust liked a variety of "K" names... didn't realize those are your kid's names :dohh:

I love Kaiya for a girl....... i do know a boy named "Kiah"... but it's short for Hezekiah, which is a biblical name........

You will find a great name! Luckily, you have awhile to keep thinking & planning...! :hugs:

Hi,

None of the names are to my taste personally, but here goes...

Jayah - It seems like a boys name to me.
Arian - I prefer Jayah and the Google searchs would concern me.
Kyree - I think this sounds very girly.
Kaiya - Again, i think this sounds very girly.

I actually think it would be nicer if you went with a K name, i always imagine being the child with the "odd" name and feeling a tad left out....just my opinion.

How about...

Kairo
Keagan
Kiefer
Korben
Kyrell
