Hey All.

Think this has already been posted, but I managed to pick up a Johnson's box today and got it for £5 in ASDA!!!

It says limited edition on it, and is in a white box rather than purple which seems to be everywhere else, but as far as i can see, everything inside is the same!!

Go grab yourselves a bargin!!!

xxx

It was part of the asda baby event, was £10 but the event finished today so everythings half price! Got a Tommee Tippee baby monitor for £20, cheapest I've seen it for online is £60!

oh thats a great deal! we won't be using johnsons stuff but great deal for anyone that is!

I dnt get paid for another 2 weeks :(

i know how you feel! i live day to day as i'm a server and am paid daily. have to bank money to pay rent and whatnot and it's so hard. have money in hand and just want to go baby crazy. we never have good deals like that here in the us though. i did find a store here though that has a huge line of car seats and big baby stuff with a 3 month layaway plan. i'm going straight there after my gender scan on the 19th!!

I got one of these for £10, which I thought was a great bargain, well done you for getting it for a fiver! I'm almost tempted to go to Asda just now, to see if they have any half price! x

As far as I know MANY stores in the USA do layaway. JCPenny, Sears, Wal-Mart, Target (at least they used to, look into it), Burlington Coat Factory, Babies R Us (used to, check though).

What store did you find the layaway option?

Stuff to consider so you don't feel stuck shopping in only one store! :flower:

burlington coat factory is where i was talking about. they have a coupon in pregnancy magazine which my obgyn gave us in a bag with other goodie type stuff for 15% off one item. i plan to use that too on something big. target doesn't have a layaway here and walmart quit last year. that was shocking!!! i had no idea babies r us did it. i will definitely look into that! i do remember on the last day of xmas shopping last year seeing toys r us started a layaway plan which they had not had in 10+ years here. i wonder if that is all the time and not just xmas time. i did not know about jc penneys or sears either. i did have a friend who was team yellow and she told me after her daughter was born she found some of the best deals on clothes at jc penneys!! thanks for the tips!!!! i have a little money saved and work is very good for both me and my oh right now so we have got a few things here and there. just waiting til the 19th to really get into it. i need another job just to go baby crazy lol. i have been good though and don't want to hurt our financial situation at all. since it is my 3rd i think it is easier too. i know what i need and then what i WANT.

oh our gender ultra sound is on the 19th btw!!

Hope you dont mind me posting but noticed the thread title and just wanted to warn all new mummies about johnsons products & if you can just use warm water for first few weeks as these products are very harsh to newborns skin as we learnt.

When Korben was born 6wks ago i also bought all the johnsons products as i trusted the name and knew their products would be gentle on my sons skin, BUT the johnsons Moisturiser burnt my sons skin one evening after a bath, his little stomach and back was a mess and was screaming in pain, me and the OH was a mess cos we felt so guilty that the cream had burnt his skin.

I look on the back of their products and there is no warning at all stating not to use on newborns or may irritate sensitive skin etc....... :nope: To be honest i was fuming and binned it along with their baby wipes, now use Pampers sensitive wipes.

:hugs:

Our Asda is 24 hrs so just sent OH down there!! He came back with one but said there were 2 left which had broken boxes! Result!! Thank you hun xxx

Sorry to read that your son had such a bad reaction, hope he's ok now.
I do use Johnsons baby products on my daughter who's now 19 months old but no one warned me not to use these products when she was a newborn and she too had reactions but not to the point where her skin burnt instead had a rash. It was the shampoo which caused the cradle cap on her scalp so we swapped to using Dentanox shampoo instead for her few first months.
I'll take advantage of the offers but will know not to use them on my newborn this time.

i got this 2 weeks ago and paid £20 for it :( yay for u tho hun great deal :)

I paid £10 too, and even drove past Asda today!!! I would of got another just as all the products bought seperately would cost more than a £5, what a bloody bargain! If it has been extended then why are the items now half price? I may have a sneaky look online now.

Its advertised on line as extended and the box is £7.50 on there!

Yes i use the shampoo now, but darnt use the Moisturiser or the wipes scared us to death that evening, he's fine now think me and the OH were more traumatised than Korben :haha: but just goes to show how sensitive newborns skins are dont it.... :hugs:

poops! it was £10 when i bought it! i might go on the last day and see if there are any monitors

I wont be using Johnsons but £5 is fab for all the bottles of stuff! Fab buy :cloud9:

We're going with old fashioned warm water and a bit of olive oil for the first few weeks

Oooo got to love a bargain. I second and third the warnings on J&J skin products....I have quite a handful of friends who've had bad experiences and have been told by 2 MW and various pharmasicts that they don't recommend them. I have stocked up and will be using the QV products....

But that said, its always nice to get a good deal for those who wish to use it :)
