Just wanted to say hello, and thanks for all the good reading so far.

We are just now getting involved with a local FS. We had our initial consult yesterday, laid out the plan. Since we are so close to my ovulation date and our insurance won't come thru in time this month, we won't be doing Clomid this month - but we decided to try an IUI next week anyway, paying for it out of pocket.

I have the "dye test" tomorrow (histo-something-agram) and since we were told that can help increase a woman's fertility, we didn't want to wait another month after that.

I guess I just wanted to share, and ask for advice, what to expect, etc.

Thanks!

hello and welcome :)

Hi ,

Good luck with your test. I had no trouble with it, and only felt a bit of cramping. But everyone has a different experience.

Good luck next week!!! Also, I hope all is well with your HSG.

Good luck with the HSG, I found the actual procedure quite uncomfortable but there aren't really any after effects so its over quite quickly. Take some ibruprofen before you go.

Hi and welcome!!! Good luck with your HSG - I've not had this myself (got lap and dye booked for 18th March) but from other threads I've nosed at it can be uncomfortable but taking nurofen and deep breathing helps!!

Hello and Welcome,

Just wanted to say good luck with the HSG. I had mine on Tuesday. Bit of advice take a couple of Nurofen (pain killers) before you go. I didn't find it too bad to be honest. Not a very nice experience but another step in the right direction !!!!!!

Had the test today - hated it - very uncomfortable and some bleeding afterwards but the results were good... No issues with either tubes or lining.

Next test is the hubby's swimmers. Also planning on an IUI next week, without drugs. Who knows? Might be our lucky try.

Thanks again and best of luck to you all, too.

Glad your HSG came back good! I haven't had one yet, but my hubby has some issues that we are dealing with right now.
I wish I could get my doctor to move as fast as yours! I went after my bloodwork and he said we should wait to do more until my husband's next appointment, and then we may do IUI. SO-I wish he would just schedule it already. How did you get them to move so quickly? Be glad they are!!
