jumperoo vs door bouncer

Hello,
I'm thinking of getting my little boy either a door bouncer or a jumperoo but can't decide which. All the jumperoos have a recommended age of 6mnt but door bouncers seem more suitable but what's the difference? I think he'd prefer a jumperoo and it'd last longer but I don't want to spend loads on something to sit in the corner. Which do you have and when did your little one use and enjoy it? Thanks

The real age from which your LO can use it depends on him. 6 months is the manufacturer's safe age at which most all babies should be able to use it. Like I know a lot of people put a pillow on the floor underneath if LO isn't tall enough, which Fisher-Price would probably not recommend just to keep their butts covered. I think if LO has good head control and is getting some torso strength he should fine. I'm expecting Lily's to arrive tomorrow and have no concerns about putting her in it at this age, because I know she is more than ready for it.

Laila started using hers at about 3.5 months, just had to put a cushion under her feet as she couldn't reach the floor. Door bouncers are good but jumperoo is like an activity station aswell. I bought mine second hand for £40.. x

Jumperoos seem to take up a lot of space. So unless you have the space then they're probably not a good option. I can't recommend door bouncers from my own experience, I found the time taken to get Ruby strapped into it correctly was longer than the time she spent happy in it.
I think it's one of those things that some babies hate, some babies love, and you won't know until you've bought the thing, unfortunately!

jumperoo all the way for me! jack was in his at about 3.5months and he loves it soooo much! best thing iv bought so far well worth the money

We chose jumperoo for 2 reasons - 1 because we are open planm and the only door in our living space is through to the front hall which is cold in winter and 2, because they have lots of toys to play with too

Leyla loved her door bouncer but got bored quite quickly as she was stuck in the doorway. We got her a jumperoo and she will happily play in that for much longer as it has all the toys. The jumperoo does take up quite a bit of space but the door bouncer blocks the door so they are both equally in the way for us!
