Hi guys
I'm not sure if anyone has has a similar experience... If you have I'd really love to hear your story!
Last week my hubby and I went for our 35 week scan. (At every scan our ob/gyn does a 4D scan of our baby's face for us). At this scan there was a lot of shadowing across our baby's nose and lips, and the doctor proceded to tell us that we not going to get clear photos due to the shadowing. To me at the appointment it just looked like our baby was running out of space and his little nose and lips are squashed up against the placenta, which was what was possibly causing the shadowing. Then yesterday I overheard my hubby telling a friend of ours that to him in looks like our baby has cleft lip... I was horrified to hear him say this because it hadn't even crossed my mind.(Well I kind of thought if that was a mere possibility that our doctor would have mentioned it). So I anxiously went back and looked at all the scan photos again and it really does look like my hubby could possibly be right. I'm really worried now... And anxious for our next scan to raise the subject with or doctor.
I was just wondering though, whether there is anyone else out there that has had this experience? Whether there is anyone who also had a lot of shadowing in later scans? Or thought the same but was relieved to find out baby was fine or visa versa? Please, any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks everyone... =)
