Does anyone else's LO is still on stage one teat (newborn - 0month)? My LO in 6 month+ and is still on stage one teats. She never took to the stage 2, we tried as she was getting older but she just choked on them

Not worried or bothered in slightest, just curious if there is anybody else out there with same situation.

Also, when LO was using dummy (she's gone off them now) but until 5months she would only accept the newborn (0month) size dummy, she would never agree to take the larger ones, which was a bit annoying because neighbour had bought a pair of nice 3-6month dummies but LO just wouldn't take them.

hmm maybe she just likes the comfort of a slow flow - we noticed dom kept falling asleep midfeed on any of his teat changes, then we'd get the next size, he'd have about 2 days where he could randomly choke on the milk, but its a case of them getting used to the new flow, after that plain sailing till we upgraded him again. But if she isnt showing signs that she wants to move on,then at least you've saved a HELLUVA lot of moolah! :haha: ive spent easily £100 on teats in 2 months

Hi

My LO is on stage 2 teats still she is coming up to 15 weeks so just nearly 3 months... We tried her with stage 2 teats just before she was two months and she choked and let the milk pour down her face!!!!

At about 10 weeks we swapped her normal formula to comfort formula and the comfort milk wouldn't go through the number 1 teat so we had to use the number 2s.

I bought some variflow teats she hates them too! So I am sticking to the number 2s!

Every now and then my LO will think about taking her dummy but this is also a newborn one also I bought some 3-6month ones and they look massive compared to her face and mouth! Haven't even tried them to be honest as doubt she will have them.

:happydance: Certainly saved some money there, teats are expensive.

The funny thing is about LO drinking with stage one teat is that it doesn't seem to be a slow flow because she can drain a bottle of 7oz in 5 min flat. And I can't I've noticed her having to suck hard fot her feed

:haha: Lucky for me my LO is super greedy when it comes to food, even weaning her was a breeze because she loves her food so much. Probably explains why she isn't so bothered about the size of the teat so long as she gets food :haha: she actually moans a little if I don't spoon food at her fast enough (literaly I put the spoon in her mouth and I have to rush to get more on the spoon :dohh:)

JEALOUS tigerLils JEALOUS! lol doms on 9th percentile he just won't drink up!!! but he does have reflux so we're thickening milk with gaviscon and we've been starting a lil early ween of a few nibbles of baby porridge...(naughty i know but it seems to be helping him) so maybe he just can't hack a big feed!...envious! and im bloody jealous that you lot have gotten away with the teat spending! i have size 1,2,3 (9 of each at least) and 4 variflow teats its £5 quid a pack so....85-90 quid on teats...and then the bottles! LOL
