Just diagnosed with GD and I'm an emotional wreck!

Thank you for sharing birth stories ladies. As I get closer- it's helpful to hear that this turns out well for so many mothers. Man I was so worried for so long. It feels nice to relax some.

I had my growth scan this week too at 36 + 2. She is estimated at 6 lbs 9 oz which make me freak at first. I mean I really lost it. The ultrasound tech couldn't tell me anything but then I met with my OB the next day & she told me all the measurements look awesome, and she's in the 56th percentile for her weight. 56th is good right? I mean my ob seemed happy because it's average.. Right in the middle. If she's full term... I would think she would be around 8 and a half pounds? Am I doing that right?

Thank you for the support. I appreciate it. So much.

My boy is at 56th percentile too, but at 31 weeks. I only hope I can stay there for the rest of the pregnancy, like you! My doctor said the baby is the perfect size now and has not yet been affected by the GD. I'd guess it's the same for you. Congratulations on managing it so well!

Thank you first try. I appreciate it. Sometimes I cloud my own good judgement by being so worried anything and everything I am doing is hurting my baby. Managing GD has been a lot easier than I initially thought in the beginning, but man I can't wait until it's over. I am really hoping I can hang in there the next couple of weeks.

I have faith you'll be able to do the same thing! Congrats on him being in the 56th percentile now! That's wonderful!

You'll probably need insulin. Mine couldn't be diet controlled from 8 weeks on. It's not a big deal if you keep on top of it.
