Just Fainted in Subway

OMG that was soo embarrasing!

I was standing in the queue in Subway and had just ordered and I started feeling really sick and went all hot and dizzy and the next thing I knew I was on the floor with loads of people looking down at me. They were so nice and made me sit on the floor for ages and gave me a free coke. Just got back to work and feel pretty sick and have a sore head now. I think I landed on my bum but hope bubs is ok! I had a bit of a nosebleed this morning too, wonder if its connected.

Anyone else fainted anywhere embarassing?

I haven't fainted, but I've felt close to it.
Maybe your blood sugar was low...were you really hungry? or standing for too long?
I would call your doc just to check in.

I usually feel like that, when I'm dehydrated, have low blood sugar, low iron, or stand for too long when pg. I'm sure you'll be alright, and bubs is surrounded by thick muscle and cushioned by amniotic fluid...prob didn't even notice it...or thought it was fun even. lol

Oh god hope you are ok now. I would definately go and see your doctor just so he do a check on you. I suppose you dont just faint for no reason. x

Oh bless you, good thing you're ok! xx I haven't fainted but sometimes feel light headed. I think it's quite normal, but not if it's happening a lot. I know a few girls who have fainted occasionally whilst pregnant. I get nose bleeds all the time, another very normal pregnany symptom! Don't worry xx

Thanks girls I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow so think I will just wait and mention it to her then. I'd been stuffing my face all morning but I'm hungry most of the time just now so maybe I was just hungry or dehydrated like you say.

I've been feeling very lightheaded lately as well...I've fainted in many diffrerent places before...not while being pregnant tho...

Glad your Okay I havent fainted anywhere thats embarassing but I have Fainted twice once was when i was alone with my Daughter and she thought mommy was playing games so she layed down next to me and Once I was in my Bank got Really hot and sick like you But managed to make it to my parents Car before fainting

oh dear, hope ur ok. haha that made me laugh about bubs maybe thinking it was fun lol.

i've had some funny spells but luckily i was sitting down. kinda like a hot flush. i just got really hot and sweaty and just needed to get outside. i had it yesterday in the hairdressers.

maybe speak with ur midwife just to check ur blood pressure. i'm sure all is ok though. xx

Oh yes!! Luckily OH was there to catch me. Both times i just randomly (to him) sat down on the floor and OH was telling me to get up because i looked stupid, then when i stood up i would end up fainting. They got me a drink of water in Babies R Us which was very kind of them

I almost fainted on the bus, had to stand the whole way home, Started to feel sick and dizzy, in the end I knelt down on the floor otherwise I would have gone down, and even after this no one stood up and let me sit down even though my OH said to people shes kneeling down cuz shes goin to pass out

My friend got low blood pressure when she was pregnant and fainted in the bus station.... she woke up on the floor but was scared to get up no one came to her aid. she managed to sit up and ring her OH... She was very embarassed.

I am glad you were o.k and that the subway people were so lovely. It could be a number of things that made you faint - definitely worth mention it to you midwife.

Oh poor you. I haven't actually fainted, but thought I was going to a couple of times lately. It's a horrible feeling.

Glad you're ok honey. I fainted at the showers on the beach in Egypt when I was 11 weeks, very embarrassing!! Xx

Poor thing, I'm glad you're ok! Sounds like maybe your blood sugar and/or blood pressure were low.

I'm hypoglycemic so I'm a fainter anyway, but it's worse when I'm pregnant. One of the worst times was in a huge grocery store when I was 12 weeks pregnant with 2nd son. I'd done my whole shopping and was at the cash register, when I said to the clerk "I feel like I'm going to faint". The next thing I knew, I woke up on the floor with the most devastating headache and a huge knot on my head, with people all around me! Apparently I hit my head really hard. Somebody gave me an orange juice, which was nice. And I had my 3 year old in the shopping cart with me too!

The most embarrassing place I ever fainted was on the toilet in the hospital, a few hours after giving birth to 1st son. I came to with one nurse holding me and about 10 other people staring at me with huge eyes and all shouting! Talk about embarrassing!
