Man o man....

I have been feeling so icky for the last week!! I am almost constantly nauseated, day and night. I don't have an appetite AT ALL, and when I do get hungry and eat, I just feel sick.

I am overwhelmed with exhaustion and I feel like I have a flu bug that wont go away. All I wanna do is lay around and either read or nap.

I am such a worry wart...I keep thinking I feel so crummy because something else is wrong :( I even had to stay home from work yesterday because I was almost in tears I felt so crummy.

Anyone else? how are you dealing? How long do you think this will last?

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Thanks for letting me complain...

Hi hun,

Unfortunately the first part of pregnancy is not always a walk in the park......some people feel dog rough, and it sounds like you are sadly one of those! It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong at all hun, infact it is a good sign as it is the hormones that are making you feel this way, so it shows you have plenty of those fying about, which in pregnancy is always a good thing!

As for the nausea, try to eat more regular but smaller amounts and try to put as much protein in your diet as possible....this helps keep nausea at bay.

I hope you start feeling better soon! :hugs:x

so sorry you are feeling so bad- it really sucks
i also had absolutely no appetite in the beginning and still dont have much appetite now but honestly i found if you dont eat you feel a hundred times worse (if that is possible to imagine given how crummy you already feel)
i also just feel like crying sometimes  so have a good cry why not! it lets out some stress! have other people at home help you too, let your OH make you a piece of toast when you just feel like you cant do it.

Hope u feel better soon!

I agree with the others, even if you don't feel like it try to eat often, and smaller meals. I've had all day nausea since 5 1/2 weeks and I find that eating helps it from getting worse. The times that I forget to eat are the times that I feel my worst!!

Aw, I hope you feel better soon! I would take theird advice and get OH to make you some food even if you aren't hungry. I get that way and I'm not even pg. Take care!

It gets better. When I was 6 weeks (currently 9-10) I was nauseated and tired...Now I'm just tired lol

You really need to eat something. I found that not eating for a long time made my sickness worse.

Thanks so much for your reply...I will be seven weeks this Thursday. I can just hope and pray that this will be short lived :) I just have to keep my little peanut in mind....some hours of the day I just wanna give up but then I remember the miracle taking place...I just want to enjoy it  Thanks again :hugs:

while you might be feeling worse than me I can certainly relate. .
There's no winning...if I'm hungry I feel sick. If I eat I feel sick.
I fancy very few foods. The idea of cooking revolts me. I am thinking it'll be a tin of soup and some crusty bread and butter tonight. Maybe tomato soup, nothing smelly.

It'll pass...it just might take some time. We'll get there one day. Make sure to take your vitamins (mine incidentally make me feel sick and give me a dodgy tummy...suprise suprise) and to eat when you can, even if it makes you feel horrid.

Remember, this isnt about us....it's about baby. For a while at least. Keep eating and sleeping when you can.

I felt the same in my first tri. Unfortunately, its normal. Ive heard a lot of sickness indicates a strong pregnancy - not sure how true that is,, but it made me feel better about it and I hope it helps you stay positive too! Not long to go, its gets better :) trust me!

I've heard the same!

You have my sympathies, you can also have my bucket!

I feel so sick I can't move, lie down, stand up, eat, sleep. I felt so bad this morning I vowed to only have one child! Really don't know how to cope with it. Keep wondering how something that is supposed to be so good feel so bloody awful :hissy:

Awww I hope you feel better soon. My first tri was HORRIBLE! I had sever sickness (hyperemesis). To be honest I hated being pregnant and swore down I'd never have another baby. The physical struggles coupled with the emotional made me a wreck. But guess what, it got better. By the middle of 2nd tri I was eating ok, had more energy etc. I seldom get sick now,, maybe only once a week. So it gets better. Hang in there! You will be able to enjoy your pregnancy.

you can get medication - ask you doc. My friend had some suppositories she swore were brilliant

i discovered today that whole wheat saltines work wonders for me...i've already eaten half a sleeve of them today! but there's something about them...if I eat one when I'm feeling queasy, I feel better, even if just for a few minutes
