Just found out I'm pregnant, What is the next step?

Hey,
My name is rachel, I am 22 years old and I just found out I am preggers last night!! I am still in shock. The only other person who knows is my boyfriend of 5 years. we are going to stay together and are going to keep this baby. I am new to the whole pregnancy thing. It is a shock to me right now but I am super happy that my bf is fine with it. I am probably more nervous than he is!! I just want to know what the next steps are. Any advice is helpful thanx!!

Next thing to do is ring your doctor and go and see them and they will book you in with your midwife!!

If you arent already its advisable to start taking folic acid.

Hey hunni, welcome to BnB. The next step would be to make an appointment with your doctor to confirm the pregnancy and set you up with a midwife. You should also be taking prenatal vitamins which contain folic acid. Good luck hunni! x

Contact your doctor, and I would start taking pre-natal vitamins.. and stop anything like drinking, smoking (if you can!!)... and other things that put your baby at risk!
